France boss Didier Deschamps talked about the possible return of Paul Pogba to the national team.
Pogba has recently been made eligible to play after his ban ended. Now a free agent, his future is uncertain, but France coach Didier Deschamps offered an update.
Paul Pogba’s Ban
Pogba’s ban came after a doping charge. The Frenchman was supposed to be banned for four years, but it was reduced to 18 months after an appeal. BBC reported why this happened, as Pogba said that the doping wasn’t intentional.
Now that he is back, Pogba is yet to find a new club. He was released by Juventus in November, which means he can join whatever club he wants.
Are There Clubs Interested In Paul Pogba?
Rumors have been circulating about what clubs might be looking to sign Pogba. Some Manchester United fans want to give their former player one more chance.
There have been additional rumors that Pogba might join Marseille or Manchester City. Nothing is confirmed. What might be a more possible option, is joining MLS or the Saudi Pro League.
What Did Deschamps Say About Pogba?
Despite not having a current club, Deschamps believes that Pogba can return to his form. Deschamps told reporters:
“He’s supposed to be able to play again, but he doesn’t have a club. We’re talking, and I won’t tell you the details. Yes, he has the ability and the mentality to return to the highest level. It won’t happen overnight, but for the moment, he hasn’t made a decision. We’ll see.”
Pogba Can Make A Return
Deschamps is correct. Pogba has overcome a lot of struggles, which shows his strong character. He is capable of returning to his former form.
Once one of the best talents in the world, Pogba needs to join a club where he can get some playing time to return to his form.
