NFL Week Six has wrapped up. It is time to review all of its the nonstop action.

Thursday Night Football took us to one of the potential Super Bowl matchups from last year, as the Denver Broncos pulled out a win against the New England Patriots. The Seattle Seahawks took a trip to Denver in hopes of adding more to their win count this season, whereas the Broncos wanted to impress the home crowd.

What seemed like an easy win for the Broncos midway through the game shifted when the Seahawks worked some magic in the fourth quarter to tie it up and take it into overtime. With multiple interceptions thrown by Sam Darnold, the Broncos took a 17-14 win as Lutz nailed a 53-yard field goal. The Seahawks now stand at 3-3, and the Broncos rank up to 4-2.

The Final London Game

The final game of the London Games continued this week with an AFC South matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Houston Texans. Each was trying to claim that last victory in Europe. The Jaguars have now faced two games in London, hoping to pull off a two-for-two win. With an intense push of points from the Texans throughout the entire game, they would come out on top of the Jags with a 34-31 win.

The Houston Texans can thank CJ Stroud and Jaylin Noel for the big push in the game. Stroud went 24-for-34 with 312 yards and three touchdowns, throwing only one interception. Noel had 107 yards on four receptions and one touchdown.

Jacksonville will have a break this coming week, whereas the Texans will take on the Giants.

Tribute to Jalen Hurts

It was announced Monday morning of NFL Week Six that Jalen Hurts will be out for the rest of the 2026 season due to MULTIPLE blood clots located in his lungs. Initially, he was diagnosed with a left calf superficial vein thrombosis before the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, which he played in. Unfortunately, blood was found in the clots last Wednesday during an ultrasound, and now he requires blood thinners.

Serious allegations regarding his care have been made against the Philadelphia Eagles, allowing the Super Bowl MVP to play while knowing about his original condition. Head Coach Nick Sirianni defends the athletic training staff in a statement, saying:

“The health of our players is always at the forefront of our minds, and we leave that up to the medical experts, but we always, always care deeply about our players.”

With Hurts being sidelined for the remainder of the season, what will this mean for the Philadelphia Eagles? Will Tanner McKnee be able to step up to the plate and fill the void? Do the coaches and staff have any remorse for Hurts?

NFL Week Six Sunday Night

Sunday Night Football, NFL Week Six, took us to the cheese capital of the United States. Do you think the Green Bay Packers were going to allow the Dallas Cowboys to end their game in a tie this year? Absolutely not. The Packers showed up HUNGRY for a victory to up the wins for the NFC North, as well as themselves. They came out with two touchdowns from Jordan Love and Matthew Golden, and Trey Smack went 3/3 in field goals and 2/2 in XPs. The Cowboys’ quarterback, Dak Prescott, had a bit of a rough night with two interceptions and one sack.

The final score of the night: Green Bay 23, Dallas 13.

Slow Monday Night Game

The wrap-up of NFL Week Six went as expected between the Washington Commanders and the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers came in anxiously, craving their six-game win streak. They completed their task with a 23 – 17 win. This makes the Commanders drop to 1-4-1. As the Commanders head into a bye week, will the higher-ups be looking into the coaching staff? Will we see changes to the roster?

Though the game wasn’t anything eye-catching, Brock Purdy has officially gained the title: Highest Career Passer Rating in NFL history. I feel like so many people have overlooked Purdy. Not because he isn’t good, because clearly he is. I believe it is because he is your everyday Joe. He doesn’t like to be in the spotlight. He’s not a “pick me”. Myself, along with others, should applaud this seventh-round, 262nd pick that the 49ers snatched, because I guarantee MANY teams wish they had when they got the chance.

End Of My NFL Week Six Rant

The final results of the NFL Week Six puts these teams still at the top:

  • Kansas City Chiefs
  • Minnesota Vikings
  • San Francisco 49ers

The following teams have still yet to find the right rhythm to pull a win. We will have to see if Miami’s team can pull off a win after a week’s rest. :

  • Miami Dolphins
  • Los Angeles Chargers

Even though two NFC North teams were on bye this week, they continue being the highest ranked division game winners, standing at 16 wins. The AFC North trails behind at 15 wins this season. These two stand superior against the rest of the divisions, even though only one holds one of the undefeated teams. This will make for an interesting title winner at the season end.

We approach our third round of  “Bye” weeks with the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Chargers, and Washington Commanders having some off time. The Los Angeles Chargers will need this week to make a game plan going forward. Having a 0-6 start to the season was definitely not what Jim Harbaugh had in mind, I’m sure.

Tune in next week for the NFL Week Seven recap.
