NFL Week Seven has concluded. It is time to review all of the key moments of the week.
NFL Week Seven’s Thursday Night Football took us to the Chicago Bears stage, where they hosted the New England Patriots. What was projected to be a SUPER tight game came true.
Though the Bears claimed the 30-24 victory, both Caleb Williams and Drake Maye had an OUTSTANDING game. Williams went 22-for-33, threw 308 yards, and clutched two touchdowns. Maye’s completion was 24-for-31 for 321 yards, four carries for 26 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and only one interception. Remarkable stats across the board for these two. We love to see a quarterback who can contribute the most to a team.
Paris Has Fallen
The Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints traveled across the Atlantic for NFL Week Seven’s game in Paris, France. This is the first NFL game ever played there, and the neck-and-neck meeting did not disappoint!
Starting with a super slow start in the first, Steelers kicker Collin Boswell was the only player able to put up points with a 28-yard field goal attempt. In the second quarter, each team managed to score 10 points against one another. Equally managing a touchdown and field goal. The third quarter mirrored the first, with Boswell kicking up another field goal, and to wrap it up, absolutely no scoring in the fourth. The Steelers took the win 16-10.
Some NFL Keyboard Warriors are starting to see quite the pattern in slow-starting matchups, with nothing to explain it. Is it the offenses not being able to produce? Or is it the defenses being able to put a stop to the drives?
The Falcons Defeat the Undefeated
The San Francisco 49ers came into Week Seven with a purpose to keep their winning streak going. However, the Atlanta Falcons had other plans in mind. With a 29-20 win, the Falcons PROVED themselves to be superior to the 6-0 team. Thanks to the work of Drake London, Michael Penix Jr., Bijan Robinson, as well as the Falcons’ defense, they were able to whip up the right amount of aggression to take down the Niners.

Dolphins Dry Spell
Is it a “bye” week miracle?? The Miami Dolphins have been hoping and praying for a win the past seven weeks, and their wishes came true. With a 21-7 lead in the half, the Dolphins would clutch onto that all the way to the Fourth Quarter for a 28-25 victory against the New York Jets. Dolphin players, Malik Willis and Ollie Gordon, were some notable players in that win.
NFC North Match Up
The Detroit Lions hosted the Green Bay Packers for a fun little division contest Sunday afternoon. I’m sure some spectators wouldn’t label it as “fun”, but more so interesting. Even though I am a Detroit fan, some of those ref calls were a bit questionable: Roughing the Passer, Unnecessary Roughness, and Intentional Grounding. All calls had some head scratches, and Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur was NOT happy.
The Lions took the win with a “walk-off” field goal by Jake Bates for a 20-17 win. Would the game have ended differently if the Packers didn’t get some of the ridiculous penalties?
NFL Week Seven Sunday Night
And the Kansas City Chiefs go down, down, down. The Seahawks invited them to their home just to crush their hopes and dreams of an undefeated season. From the 20-3 win, some star players from the Seahawks were Sam Darnold, Jaxson Smith-Njigba, and Emanuel Wilson. Darnold went 20-28 with 257 yards and one touchdown. Smith-Njigba had 150 yards over nine catches and one touchdown. Wilson accounted for 100 yards over 24 carries and one touchdown.

NFL Week Seven Monday Night Game
In the second week game without Jalen Hurts, the Philadelphia Eagles hosted the Dallas Cowboys. It’s been rough for the Super Bowl Champions this year. With 20+ players on the injured list, the Eagles are essentially scraping the bottom of the barrel.
The Cowboys offense truly stepped up to the plate and took advantage of the injuries. They took the win 38-21. Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Javonte Williams had a superior game. Prescott was 15-27, 212 Yards, and three touchdowns. Lamb had 74 yards spread across four receptions and one touchdown. Williams had 25 carries for 155 yards and one touchdown.
End of My NFL Week Seven Rant
With the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs losses today, the Minnesota Vikings are now the only undefeated team in the NFL. Aside from being undefeated, they are also on top of the NFC North and are the number-one-ranked team in the entire NFC. Will the Vikings remain on top into Week Eight as they face their division opponent, the Detroit Lions?
The Los Angeles Chargers remain undefeated this week as they are currently on a “bye”. When they come back next week, they will entertain the fans in a home matchup against the Rams. With the pressure on and the audience covered in Blue, White, and Yellow, the Chargers will have to conjure something up to snag their first win of the season.

The NFC North teams continue being on top as the highest ranked division game winners, at 19 wins. The AFC North continues to trail behind at 18 wins this season. What is in that water in the north?
We approach our fourth round of “Bye” weeks with the Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, and the San Francisco 49ers taking a break.
Tune in next week for the NFL Week Eight informational.
