The Chicago Bears are set to host the Seattle Seahawks in the Week 17 edition of NFL Thursday Night Football. With the Seahawks fighting for the playoffs and the Bears fighting or their pride, it’s going the be interesting to see how this game unfolds.

Seattle Seahawks (8-6)

The Seahawks come into Week 17 second place in the tightest division in the NFL, the NFC South. While they average out to middle of the pack on both sides of the ball, Seattle has been very inconsistent this season. One thing going for the Seahawks in this game would be the fact the offense has been noticable better on the road, averaging 7.3 ppg more on the road than at home, resulting in a 5-1 record while away. With only two games remaining in the regular season, and a game against the NFC leading Rams next week, the Seahawks will look to take advantage of a vulnerable Bears team.

Chicago Bears (4-11)

With every other team in their division having already clinched a playoff spot, the Bears will look to develop their rookie quarterback and play the role of spoiler down the stretch. The Bears average just 18.9 ppg this season and have been even colder over the last few games. The 31st-ranked offense and 26th-ranked defense have an average scoring margin of -20.0 over the last three games. The offensive line has done the Bears no favors this season, allowing the second-most sacks in the league.

NFL Week 17 Thursday Night Football

Although the Seahawks have been inconsistent this season, the Bears have been consistently bad. It’s hard to see the team on a nine-game losing streak upsetting the better team. Seattle is fighting for their lives, while Chicago struggles to keep pass rushers away from rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.
