Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley was the clear winner for NFL Offensive Player of the Year. He came just 100 yards shy of breaking the all-time single-season rushing record. Other notable contenders include, amongst others, Bengals wide receiver Ja’Maar Chase and quarterback Joe Burrow.
NFL Awards – Offensive Player Of The Year
Barkley showed the fortitude to carry the Eagles’ offense including seven touchdowns of at least 60 yards. He also had the humbleness to allow others to get reps with records on the line. One example is when he sat out the final week of the regular season, allowing others to get some NFL experience. Barkley is focused on the main goal, winning the Super Bowl. The Philadelphia Eagles running back ranked first in carries (345) and yards (2,005), despite not playing in Week 18.

Considering he led the league in carries, Barkley’s two regular-season fumbles are even more impressive. The New York Giants must regret letting this star walk for nothing in free agency. It shows how much of a difference a well-run organization can make in a player’s career.
End Of My NFL Awards – OPOY Rant
With two more years on his current contract and one of the best offensive lines in the league, the immediate future is bright for the Eagles and Saquon. Having such a talented, and hungry, but also humble athlete is so rare in professional sports.
