Carmelo Anthony has been notified that he’s been inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Anthony made 10 All-Star appearances and six All-NBA teams in 19 seasons to go along with three Olympic gold medals for Team USA.

Carmelo is ranked 10th in the NBA’s All-Time Scoring List with 28,289. He is one of only eight players in NBA history with 25k+ points, 7k+ rebounds, and 3k+ assists. He is finally getting his well-deserved spot in the Hall of Fame.

Anthony led Syracuse to a national title, a rare achievement at a time when older players and freshmen dominated the tournament. His team, featuring three freshmen in the starting lineup, went from unranked in the preseason to reaching the number one spot, culminating in an unbelievable run.

There was a real argument for Melo as Rookie of the Year over LeBron in the 2003-04 season. Those mid- and late-2000s Nuggets teams were scary. Anthony might have won a chip if it were not for Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan.

Anthony was a fun player to watch who had a truly great all-around career at each of the highest levels of the sport (college, NBA, international). He also showed growth and humility late in his career on the frisky Blazers teams.
