The creators have already turned soccer into an amazing art form, with Pelé’s crown among over 15,000 pieces of soccer’s history. Museo Yancuic in Iztapalapa will host it, with shirts from 90 national teams among the items. It will also be free to the public and will run from late March to August 2026.

The Legends That Make Soccer A Great Sport

This collection comes from Gabriel Bustamante, who has spent decades collecting items related to professional soccer. In a statement, exhibition creator Ricardo River said “We have many iconic artifacts from the history of football, but I think one of the items that everyone wants to have their photo taken with and which is not to be missed is Pelé’s kit and crown he was presented with in 1970, here in Mexico.”

In each room, there are interactive areas featuring old videos, broadcast zones, and spaces where visitors, local or international, can hear their voices echo as if they were in the stadium. The exhibit also has digital displays. Items such as shirts belonging to Maradona, David Beckham, Jorge Campos, Lionel Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Excitement Before World Cup 2026

The thrill we feel in our bodies never leaves when we are ready for something. It stays in our system until the main event, and sometimes even after it’s over. The exhibits in Mexico City will give tourists a place to express their excitement weeks before the World Cup, giving them a sense of belonging. It gives children and their parents time to be together, as some parents may have plans of their own. It’s even better because it also runs a week after the World Cup final.
