WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan attacked Chelsea Green from behind on the Oct. 23 episode of SmackDown. The ambush came seconds after Green retained the WWE Women’s Championship against Roxanne Perez. Morgan and Green meet for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship on Nov. 7 at Riyadh Season Stadium in Saudi Arabia. The SmackDown brawl changed that champion vs. champion showdown in three ways.
Liv Morgan Has The Judgment Day Numbers On Her Side
The Judgment Day interfered in the title bout before the attack began. Raquel Rodriguez shoved Green off the top rope while the referee was distracted. IYO SKY ran to ringside and brawled with Rodriguez. Perez took SKY out with a dive, but Green dodged Pop Rox and hit the Un-Pretty-Her for the pin.
Morgan struck once the final bell rang and hit Green with ground-and-pound. Perez and Rodriguez joined in, and the trio beat down both Green and SKY. SKY tried to fight back, but the three-on-two numbers kept The Judgment Day in control.
The Judgment Day also targeted Green on the Oct. 12 episode of Raw. After a face-to-face with Morgan about Crown Jewel, Green wrestled Perez in a non-title bout. Morgan and Rodriguez provided a distraction, and Perez won with Pop Rox.
Morgan beat Nia Jax on Nov. 2, 2024, to become the first Women’s Crown Jewel Champion. Dominik Mysterio and Rodriguez distracted Jax and the referee to set up the Oblivion finish. Tiffany Stratton tried to cash in during that bout, and Rodriguez stopped the attempt.
Chelsea Green Has Backup In IYO SKY And Tiffany Stratton
Green did not finish the night alone. Stratton, the 2026 Miss Money in the Bank, ran in for the save, tossing Perez over the top rope and dropping Morgan with a knee lift. SKY and Stratton cleared the ring with a hurricanrana and a missile dropkick. Morgan grabbed the Money in the Bank briefcase and went after Stratton, but SKY countered, and Green answered with a superkick.
Stratton nearly cashed in before Perez and Rodriguez pulled Morgan out of the ring. In a parking lot segment after the brawl, SKY promised to always have Green’s back. Stratton joined the pair and talked about wanting to see Morgan’s face after a cash-in. Green admitted the Stratton arrival came as a surprise, then suggested the trio go celebrate.
The WWE Women’s Champion Has No Time To Heal Before Riyadh
Green does not get a clean week to recover. Nikki Bella challenges Green for the WWE Women’s Championship on the Oct. 30 SmackDown in Charleston, W.Va. Crown Jewel follows eight days later on Nov. 7.
Green wrestled a full title defense on Oct. 23 before the Judgment Day attack. Perez controlled the match through a commercial break after driving Green’s shoulder into the ring post. A pair of diving clotheslines started Green’s comeback before the finish.
Morgan heads to Riyadh in a fourth Women’s World Championship reign. At Money in the Bank on Oct. 10, Morgan pinned Stephanie Vaquer in a triple threat with Becky Lynch. Vaquer won the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship in Perth, Australia, in 2025 by beating Stratton. A victory over Green on Nov. 7 would make Morgan the first woman to capture the Crown Jewel title twice.

Morgan did not wait for Riyadh to start the fight. A blindside attack, two friends, and a beatdown turned Green’s successful title defense into a mess. Crown Jewel is personal now. Morgan wants Green worn down long before the opening bell on Nov. 7.
The problem for Morgan is simple. SKY now stands with Green, and Stratton has a briefcase aimed squarely at Morgan’s title. The Judgment Day bailed out its champion once on Oct. 23. A second rescue in Saudi Arabia, with Green’s allies lurking, gets a lot harder.
Green has the tougher road. Bella waits on Oct. 30, and the bruises from the Judgment Day attack will still be fresh. Morgan brings history, a fourth world title run, and a shot at a second Women’s Crown Jewel Championship. The ambush raised the stakes for both women, and nobody should expect a clean finish in Riyadh.
