LeBron James will be making his first public appearance since the beginning of NBA free agency on Thursday, July 16th. Here is everything you need to know about the event, as well as whether or not a decision is to be expected.
LeBron James Fanatics Fest Appearance

LeBron will be making his first public appearance since it was made official that he will not be returning to the Los Angeles Lakers. He will be filming a live podcast episode for his Mind The Game show.
The filming will take place at 1:15 pm ET.
Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton will join LeBron for the filming of the episode.
LeBron has not made any form of announcement as to whether or not he will be announcing his decision on this stage. If he were to announce his decision, it would be one of the biggest storylines in the sports world. There are still numerous teams in contention to sign LeBron. Let’s take a look at who the favorites are.
Which Team Will LeBron James Pick?

The Cleveland Cavaliers have to be the favorites in this sweepstakes. It would give LeBron the opportunity to chase the ultimate sense of basketball happiness. Him returning home to potentially end his legendary NBA career almost makes too much sense.
The Philadelphia 76ers came out of nowhere in the hunt for LeBron, only making their first contact after the Jaylen Brown trade. The fit is undeniably great, as LeBron is the exact player that would complete this roster. If he wants to go after a fifth NBA championship, the Sixers could be the best spot.
The Miami Heat are the other team with championship aspirations for LeBron, but the fit is almost concerning. Opposite of the Sixers, the Heat would have almost zero spacing around LeBron with Bam Adebayo and Giannis Antetokounmpo in the starting five. It would be a real concern in the NBA playoffs.
The Golden State Warriors would make sense as James is great friends with Steph Curry and Draymond Green. Joining the ultimate rival throughout his career would almost be poetic. If LeBron and Curry are on the same team, the Warriors would be the most-watched team in NBA history.
The rest of the contenders are hanging on by a thread. Teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets are still “in the hunt”, but they don’t seem to truly be on James’ radar. They are still worth mentioning, but they aren’t on the same level as the top four teams.
