The amount of name-brand talent sidelined recently in the NFL is concerning, and now the Baltimore Ravens are dealing with a Lamar Jackson injury. Holding on to a string of hope, they hosted the New England Patriots, hoping to keep pace with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North. The Ravens suffered numerous self-inflicted wounds, ultimately losing 28-24. Crumbling under the weight of a weak defense, missed time from the quarterback has been a concern all season.
The Lamar Jackson Injury
With less than two minutes left in the first half, the Ravens took a timeout to get Jackson out of the game. Taking a knee in the back on the play prior, it was clear something wasn’t right. He didn’t play another snap of the game, watching backup Tyler Huntley from the sidelines. NBC Sports reports on post-game comments from head coach John Harbaugh.
“It’s a bruise of some kind, I think. I don’t know how serious it’ll be,” Harbaugh said. “We’ll have to find out in the next couple of days. He got kneed in the back on the ground there.”

Athlon Sports reported sight of Jackson struggling down stairs postgame. The Ravens need some luck to get a sniff of the playoffs. With only one team coming out of the AFC North, they need to win out, while the Pittsburgh Steelers lose the remaining games. The divisional rivals are scheduled to play each other in Week 18. Things could get interesting if everything breaks their way next week.
When asked about the outlook moving forward, Harbaugh replied, “It’s just early. Haven’t gotten anything definitive from the trainers or doctors yet. I don’t know. Probably [will] know more tomorrow or the next day.”
After The Jackson Injury
Huntley played respectably from there, but the Ravens need someone to pick them up out of the mud. Patriots’ quarterback Drake Maye was passing at will against Baltimore’s porous pass protection. Involving nine different receivers, Maye tallied 380 passing yards.

End Of My Jackson Injury Rant
This unfortunate Jackson injury adds to a season riddled with them. Already missing time this year due to a hamstring issue, the season is bleak in Baltimore. Is it time to start questioning his durability? If the team’s defense were even average, it would do wonders to keep them in more games, even if they tend to self-sabotage.
