Brooks’ achievement is all the more impressive considering he’s in his first season at Kentucky. His ability to rebuild the roster and lead the team to success has not gone unnoticed. He was recently chosen as a Werner Ladder Naismith Women’s College Coach of the Year Semifinalist, another recognition of his exceptional coaching skills.

Georgia Amoore Lands On Three All-American Teams

Georgia Amoore has been named a 2nd Team All-American by the Associated Press (AP), The Sporting News, and the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA). This recognition is a testament to her outstanding performance this season, where she averaged 19.1 points, 6.9 assists, and 2.4 three-pointers per game.

Amoore’s impressive stats and leadership have been instrumental in the Kentucky Wildcats’ success this season. Her achievements have also earned her numerous other accolades, including being named a semifinalist for the Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy Women’s College Player of the Year and the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Award.

The Wildcats were rewarded as a 4-seed and a host site in the NCAA Tournament on Selection Sunday. They play the Liberty Flames (26-6, the Conference USA Tournament Champions) at Historic Memorial Coliseum in Lexington at noon ET on Friday. The winner will play the winner of 5-seed Kansas State versus 12-seed Fairfield on Sunday, March 23rd.
