The Cleveland Browns’ receiver room has been near the bottom of the NFL since 2022. While the quarterback play has been inconsistent since Baker Mayfield’s departure, the talent in the room has been lackluster. This offseason has felt different; the front office has addressed the problem and spent numerous resources and draft selections on improving that room. The top pass catcher for Cleveland last season was Jerry Jeudy, who finished with just 50 catches and 602 yards. Heading into the 2026 season, there is a new core of young players ready to make their mark in the Browns’ passing game.
Building Through The NFL Draft

The story of the 2026 offseason for the Browns has been investing in receivers and offensive linemen. At the beginning of free agency, they signed and acquired veterans to shore up the trenches on the offensive line. This allowed them to get their desired receivers in the NFL Draft. At Pick #24, the Browns selected KC Concepcion out of Texas A&M. Concepcion is a dynamic player with the ball in his hands and has the athletic traits of a Round 1 talent.
The next day, Cleveland lucked into Denzel Boston being available, and had an easy choice selecting him. Unlike Concepcion, Boston plays primarily on the outside and makes plays with his size and ball skills. Together, the team came away with one of the most impressive rookie receiver duos in all of football. Head coach Todd Monken has already emphasized the role these players will have in the offense this season. They complement each other well and give the offense threats in all different areas of the field.
Through the rookie and mandatory minicamp, these guys have been the talk of the town with their play on the field. While it’s early to say, the Browns might have two Offensive Rookie of the Year candidates this upcoming season.
Utilizing The Talent Already Here

Last season wasn’t a fair evaluation of what these young receivers are capable of. The offensive line, quarterback play, and coaching staff all underperformed, leaving the receivers with little to no role in the passing game. Some of the more fascinating players include Isaiah Bond, who came to the team late but looks like the real deal this year. Malachi Corley, who did it all in college with his physicality and strength, is still looking for his role in the NFL and could very much be a factor on special teams. Lastly, the guy who was the most disappointing in 2025 was Jerry Jeudy, but he had a breakout season in 2024.
To really assess this receiver room, the Browns have to get consistent quarterback play. Along with the QB performing, the guys in front have to block and give the offense time to develop and operate. Both of those look to be improved this season, with coaching and play-calling being the only new external variables for this offense.
Another positive note for the offense is the emergence of star tight end Harold Fannin Jr. Last season, as a 20-year-old rookie, Fannin was the top pass catcher for the team with 72 receptions, 731 yards, and 6 touchdowns. Long story short, this is a much more talented group than the stats and production show. In 2026, it’s going to be about turning that potential into wins.
End Of My Browns Receivers Rant

On paper, this receiving core has the talent, depth, and versatility to become one of the most improved position groups on the roster. There will be questions regarding how quickly this unit can develop chemistry, but the potential is limitless. If this group can live up to expectations, the Browns’ passing game would drastically improve and give this offense a dynamic passing attack.
