The Green Bay Packers are riddled with injuries following their 34-26 loss to the Denver Broncos. They lost superstar edge Micah Parsons for the season with an ACL injury. Also appearing on the injury report are wide receivers Christian Watson and Dontayvion Wicks. Even with all these star players and others appearing on the injured list, the Packers dreams and hopes of winning the Super Bowl are still alive.

Josh Jacobs’s Support of Packers Offense

Running back Josh Jacobs himself is questionable to play against the divisional showdown against Chicago this weekend. This will be a hiccup for Green Bay but they can rest easy knowing that if he doesn’t suit up, he has another week to get healthy. The playoff push will rely on the legs of Jacobs. When he gets going, then that will allow quarterback Jordan Love to throw spirals to open receivers.

The three-time Pro Bowler will need to become a focal point of the Packers offense in these upcoming weeks and throughout the playoffs.

Next Man Up

Since the Packers seem to be succumbing to injuries every other week, they have followed the mantra “next man up”. With a injury report as long as an essay, Green Bay keep on rolling to victories. The absence of two elite receivers will hurt the offense but this means that Jayden Reed and rookie Matthew Golden will have to step up in their place.

The Packers stout defense, once anchored by Parsons before his injury, will have to make up for his disappearance on the field. If the defense can keep their consistency of stopping opponents, then they can support the offense in winning games.

End Of My Packers Rant

The immediate response after the Packers released their injury report was that their window at becoming Super Bowl champions was closed. Jordan Love and his team around him have to believe that even with injuries, the next man up is capable enough to lead them to the Lombardi.

The NFC powerhouse can return to glory and become “Titletown” once again this season on the backs of their healthy players.
