The Green Bay Packers beat the Dallas Cowboys in week six to push their record to 4-2 in the young season. The Packers’ winning streak moves to three in a row, and for the second consecutive week, the team wins impressively. After a rough start to the year, Green Bay has settled in and is playing well on both sides of the ball. The Packers’ defense played great, forcing turnovers and keeping the Cowboys offense in check. On the offensive side of the ball, they were moving through the air with purpose yet again.

Matthew Golden was already off to a great start in 2026, and the Dallas game proves it further. Golden was targeted a season-high 13 times on Sunday and caught six passes for 104 yards and a touchdown. Now, it wasn’t all perfect for Golden because he did drop multiple passes, including what would have been a 40-plus-yard touchdown. Drops as a whole were a big problem on the night for these Green Bay receivers.

Drops aside, this was a great game for the former first-round pick, who has now gone over 100 yards three times this year, including two weeks in a row. Golden has been a big part of this Packers offense and is currently sitting sixth in receiving yards after week six. He is showing that he belongs in this league after questions were raised following his poor rookie season.

Winner: Brandon Cisse

Brandon Cisse has had an up-and-down start to his NFL career, but Sunday night against the Cowboys may have been his best game so far. He recorded four tackles, two pass deflections, and his first career interception. Cisse was a second-round draft pick this past April and, after showing out in camp and preseason, became the second starting corner for Green Bay.

Coming into the game, the Packers had their work cut out for them going against one of the league’s best wide receiver rooms. Cisse was a big part of keeping Dallas’ passing game in check, lining up against George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb. Neither player went over 100 yards, nor was either able to find the end zone on Sunday. Expectations are high for Cisse, and at just 21 years old, he still has a lot of time to prove what he can do for this team.

Loser: The Running Backs

Another game and another dreadful performance by this Green Bay rushing attack. Including QB rushes and jet sweeps, the Packers ran the ball 27 total times for just 57 yards. This season, the team has 359 yards and is averaging 2.9 yards per attempt, which is unacceptable for an NFL team trying to win a championship.

News came out last week that Josh Jacobs was removed from the commissioner-exempt list, and Green Bay desperately needs a jolt of life at that position. It is unclear whether he will be playing next week against the Lions but looks to at least get on the practice field starting Wednesday. Jacobs is a veteran and former pro-bowler but is coming off a down year and will not be the sole answer to this running attack. The offensive line, while better, still isn’t great overall, but adding Jacobs will hopefully limit mental mistakes such as fumbles and hitting the wrong gaps.

Winner: Jordan Love

For the third consecutive week, Jordan Love finds himself on the “winners” side, and he truly deserves it with how good he has played as of late. On paper, his stats may not look amazing: 23/41, 267 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Regardless of the box score, he was slinging the ball all over and was the catalyst for the Packers’ offensive success.

With how poor Green Bay’s run game has been, it has shown that the Packers are not afraid to let Love push the ball down the field, and this game was no different. Receivers were dropping balls left and right, and the offensive line seemed to have regressed compared to the last couple of weeks, allowing three sacks. Love, to his credit, didn’t lose faith in his guys and stood in the face of pressure several times to deliver an on-target ball.

End Of My Green Bay Packers Rant

This win wasn’t perfect but was still a good win for Green Bay, who are now 4-2 with some tough matchups coming up against the Detroit Lions and a Thursday Night showdown against the Carolina Panthers. The Packers are hitting their stride, winning three in a row. They will be getting some help in the run game with Jacobs coming back soon. Green Bay still has some things to clean up, such as penalties. Both the offense and defense, though, are starting to come together.
