The Georgia Bulldogs are heading into the college football playoffs on a nine-game winning streak. They’re playing their best football and standing out as one of the top teams in the field. With Kirby Smart at the helm, never underestimate a team with its back against the wall.
Bulldogs King Of The SEC
Over the past month, the Georgia team we all know and love has been playing like the classic Bulldogs, especially on defense. In last Saturday’s SEC Championship game, they made quick work of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Securing their second straight SEC title and earning a bye in the playoffs.
This season has been a real challenge for the Bulldogs, who wrapped up their schedule with just one loss to Alabama—a team they later got payback against. Now sitting as the third seed, they are riding a wave of momentum and energy as they head toward the biggest stage of the year.

The Dawgs are hitting their stride at just the right time, and when they’re locked in, there’s no limit to what they can achieve. This incredible run is a promising sign for what’s ahead.
Kirby Smart Gets It Done
One of the biggest reasons for their success is the leadership of head coach Kirby Smart. He’s a coaching genius whose enthusiasm, energy, and love for his players shine every time they hit the field. Another key aspect of Smart’s approach is his elite recruiting and the way he motivates his players, especially in tough times. This season has been one of his best coaching performances, overcoming uncertainty after last year’s exit from the college football playoffs.

Georgia Defense Is Back

Early in the season, the Bulldogs’ defense struggled to find their rhythm, having trouble getting to the quarterback. In the first eight games, Georgia managed only eight sacks. Over the last five games, they’ve turned it around, pressuring quarterbacks relentlessly, racking up 12 sacks, and becoming a dominant force.
This not only improves their chances of winning a national championship but also gives them the confidence to build on their stellar performance in the SEC title game. They put relentless pressure on Alabama and its offense. Georgia will face the winner of Ole Miss and Tulane on Thursday, January 1st, at 8 p.m. ET in the Sugar Bowl.
The Dawgs are hitting their stride at the perfect time, and with Georgia’s reputation for tough defense, seeing them get back to their old style has them primed for a big run.
End Of My Georgia Football Rant
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Georgia sits at +550 to win the title, placing third behind the Indiana Hoosiers at +290 and the top choice, the Ohio State Buckeyes, at +220. The stage is set, the lights are bright, and over the last month and a half, this Bulldogs team has put up some impressive numbers, riding a wave of momentum.
Never count out Kirby Smart and the Dawgs—when their season seems on the brink, they rise to the occasion. Expect another big performance in the playoffs, with Georgia having every chance to come out on top.
