It seems almost inevitable that the Voice of the Voiceless becomes World Champion sooner rather than later. Since returning to the Survivor Series in 2023, CM Punk has been positioned as a key player in the WWE landscape.
The Straight Edge Superstar is a polarizing figure within the wrestling industry, but his fan support is undeniable. It is only a matter of time, maybe as soon as WrestleMania in a long overdue main event slot, that we see Punk as the champion in WWE for the first time in 11 years.
If John Cena’s name had been included in this article just a few years ago, it would be met with groans and eye rolls. Fast forward to the present day, and the fans are clamoring for Super Cena to claim his record-breaking 17th World Championship. With 2025 being his final year as an active competitor in WWE, we wouldn’t expect a long title reign.

In 2025, it is time for the son of Rick Steiner to take the next step and inject some young blood into the World Title scene as RAW moves to Netflix 2025.
The idea of a Bron Breakker and Gunther World Championship program is enough to spark the interest of many WWE fans. Triple H and the rest of the WWE decision-makers see big things for Breakker, and now is the time to pull the trigger.
Drew McIntyre has been the unsung hero of WWE in 2024. He carried his feud with CM Punk for months while Punk was on the shelf and ensured fans never lost interest. WWE should reward his efforts in 2025 with a run for the company’s top prize.
The Scottish Warrior has been a step above the rest in 2024, both on the microphone and between the ropes. Mcintyre’s ability to throw himself into each and every story he is involved in makes it impossible for fans not to invest. WWE can position anyone against McIntyre and trust that money will be made. That is the kind of Superstar you want holding your World Championship.
This may be the most surprising addition to this list. Jacob Fatu is reasonably new to the WWE Universe but has quickly risen in popularity. His unique personality and fiery in-ring work have garnered the support of fans worldwide. WWE would be smart to capitalize on the surge in fan interest when it comes to the Samoan Werewolf.
There is massive potential in a babyface run for Jacob Fatu, beginning with him turning his back on Solo Sikoa and the New Bloodline. Could we also see Jacob Fatu hold the rumored Tribal Chief Championship
in 2025?
Plenty of Superstars could make a case that they belong on this list; with a talent roster as deep as we have ever seen, we know that no matter who is champion in 2025, it should be an exciting time for WWE.
