Fantasy football managers rejoice, as there’s no longer a need to search for that WR waiver wire pickup. Injuries have been a concern at the position as a whole this year, and this week is no different. Unless otherwise stated, all stats, reports, and rankings were provided by Sleeper.

Josh Reynolds – New York Jets (2% Fantasy Rostered)

New York Jets’ WR1 Garrett Wilson hyperextended his knee in Week Six, with ESPN reporting he will miss “a couple of weeks.” The team lists Josh Reynolds and the new WR1, which drastically increases the fantasy value of a player with only 2% ownership. Wilson is averaging 16.58 PPG in PPR leagues, while Reynolds is averaging 4.30. Nobody is going to confuse the two, but his stats should shoot up closer to that number over the next couple of games.

Kayshon Boutte – New England Patriots (12% Fantasy Rostered)

A 12% ownership of the fantasy WR32 is a value that cannot be missed. New England Patriots’ wide receiver Kayshon Boutte is listed as WR2 on this ever-improving roster. The current WR1, Stefon Diggs, is the elder and more injury-prone of the two. Boutte is already averaging 11.02 FPPG in PPR, making him immediately startable on most teams, with a high ceiling down the road.

Sterling Shepard – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (23% Fantasy Rostered)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ offense has been hit by the injury bug, which has given wide receiver Sterling Shepard increased playing time and fantasy value. Names like Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Emeka Egbuka are all in injury trouble, giving Shepard great short-term value. As those names return, he’s certain to drop off, but it’d still be worth holding him. Considering his consistent play and the team’s injuries, he could bounce back at any moment.

End Of My Fantasy Rant

Reynolds and Shepard bring immediate short-term aid, and Boutte could even be worth a long-term play. For those fantasy managers that miss out on these three receivers, names like Carolina Panthers’ Jalen Coker and Buccaneers’ Kameron Johnson or Tez Johnson are the next plays up.
