A lot of potential moves have been reported to happen recently, and one of them has to do with Cesc Fabregas. Como’s head coach is interested in signing AC Milan’s Alvaro Morata, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray.
According to Sky Sport Italy, Fabregas wants Morata to join his side. The head coach spoke to the striker about his plans for next season, and it seems like Morata won’t mind joining Como.
Talks might start, but there are some things to settle before a move is possible. After all, Morata is currently on a 12-month loan to Galatasaray.
If Morata really wants to head to Como, he will have to end his loan to the Turkish side earlier than what was planned. If the loan was terminated, then AC Milan is another hurdle.
The Italian side will have to accept letting go of Morata, whether on a loan to Como or a permanent transfer. It’s not clear what amount they might ask for to sell the Spanish player.
Fabregas is right in wanting to bring Morata to his side. Como has great players in their attacking line, but they still need more. They have, for example, Assane Diao, who managed to score eight goals in 15 games. The only downside is that he is 19 years old.
Youth players are useful, but so are veterans. Como will need contributors who have some experience to bring to the table. Morata can be their answer
Besides, Fabregas is already familiar with the striker as he shared the pitch with him at Chelsea and also at Spain’s International team. He wouldn’t go after Morata if he weren’t sure that he would be a great addition.
Morata won’t be the only big name to join the Italian side. They have returned to Serie A, and they are now competing with the big names. Being in this league might be attractive to players to join the team.
Fabregas and his players have already proved that they can compete. They finished last season in 10th place, which isn’t an easy achievement for a team that has been recently promoted.
If they want to stay on this successful lane, they have to bolster their team, and Morata is a great option. The Spanish striker has the ability to end matches and find the back of the net at difficult times. During his time on the Turkish side, he has managed to score 10 goals so far.
Como has a great opportunity to bring in someone who has a lot of experience. This will only help their team keep their hopes up to stay in Serie A.
