The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a big win over the Green Bay Packers in the Wildcard round of the NFL playoffs last weekend. You argue Philadelphia didn’t play its best ball and still walked away with a 22-10 win.

Philly now turns its attention to the Divisional round, where they will face Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams. The Eagles could be without their starting tight end on Sunday, as he missed practice on Thursday with an illness.

Goedert Misses Practice

Eagles

Dallas Goedert was the only Eagles to not practice in some capacity on Thursday. The team listed him as having an illness on the injury report. The 30-year-old has played ten games with the Eagles this season, recording 496 yards and two touchdowns on 42 receptions. The former second-round draft pick had four catches for 47 yards and a score last weekend.

I would assume Goedert will be ready to go by Sunday afternoon, but only time will tell. While the Eagles don’t throw the ball a lot, having an offensive weapon like him out of the lineup would be less than ideal.

Other Names On The Injury Report

A.J. Brown was limited in Thursday’s practice due to a knee injury. It’s assumed this has more to do with rest than anything else. Brown recorded only one catch for 10 yards in the Wildcard game against Green Bay.

Saquon Barkley, Cam Jurgens, Jordan Mailata, Kenny Pickett, Josh Sweat, and Byron Young were all full participants on Thursday. Barkley will likely be the main focus on offense this week. The former New York Giant picked up 119 yards on 25 carries last weekend.

Eagles Vs. Ram Preview

Philadelphia is a six-point favorite in their meeting with the Los Angeles Rams this weekend. These two clubs have met 45 times. The most recent matchup was in week 12 of this season, where the Eagles won 37-20. Saquon had a ridiculous 255 rushing yards in that game and scored two rushing touchdowns.

Los Angeles is coming off a big win over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night. The defense was able to shut down Sam Darnold, Justin Jefferson, and the rest of the always-dangerous Vikings offense. If the Rams hope to advance to the NFC Championship, they’ll need to do what most teams haven’t this season: find a way to stop Barkley.

Looking at the betting props, Saquon is -175 to find the endzone, followed by Hurts at -125 and Kyreen Williams at -105. A.J. Brown is a +125 anytime touchdown scorer bet, and Puka Nacua has +140 odds to score. The game’s total is 44.0, the second lowest of the four games this weekend.
