Chiefs Vs. Raiders Week 4: Game Guide
Las Vegas is 3-0 despite having no offseason hype aside from new first overall pick Fernando Mendoza, who hasn’t even played yet. Veteran QB Kirk Cousins has been dialed in so far, throwing nine touchdowns and three interceptions in just three games. Rookie head coach Klint Kubiak is making a strong case for Coach of the Year, and Raider vibes are higher than they’ve been in a long time for Las Vegas.
Despite their record, the Raiders still have much to prove. Their opponents have been the Miami Dolphins, Chargers, and New Orleans Saints. The three teams have combined for one win this season. Las Vegas will have its biggest test of the season this Sunday against one of the best teams in the NFL in Kansas City .
Brock Bowers has returned from a meniscus injury and had a monster game in Week 3, catching 10 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs often struggle guarding tight ends, allowing 109 receiving yards and two touchdowns to tight ends so far this season. Denver Broncos tight end Evan Engram led the team in receiving yards in that Week 1 matchup, and Dolphins tight end Greg Dulcich averaged 11 yards per reception in Week 3. Bowers will be a vital piece of the Raiders’ offense in this game and is the key to victory.

Kansas City is 3-0 and coming off a 24-10 victory over the Miami Dolphins. The Chiefs are showing they have one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL, averaging 416.3 yards per game. In his 15 games against Las Vegas, Mahomes is 13-2 with 36 touchdowns and five interceptions. He currently has 812 yards, seven touchdowns, and two interceptions. If he continues his MVP-level play, Kansas City should be able to score a lot of points in the air and on the ground with the help of Kenneth Walker III.
Walker had a quieter game than usual against Miami, but has had an immensely impressive season so far, leading the league in rushing yards through three games. The Raiders have the 21st rushing defense, allowing 116.3 rushing yards per game. They, however, have not allowed a 100-yard rusher yet. Walker is the best runner they have encountered so far, so he could be a litmus test for them.
One of the biggest matchups is veteran DE Maxx Crosby on rookie LT Kahlil Benson. Crosby is likely to test the young left tackle in his 4th ever start. Benson has been a nice surprise for the Chiefs so far, but this is his biggest test yet. If not contained properly, Crosby could wreck this game. Kansas City found a way to contain Nik Bonitto in Week 1, so it’s likely they make a similar plan for Crosby.

End Of My Chiefs Vs. Raiders Week 4 Rant
Las Vegas looks like a much better team than anticipated. What looked like a free win for the Chiefs before the season has turned into a game with legitimate stakes for both teams. The winner will have sole possession of the AFC West. Unfortunately for the Raiders, Kansas City looks like the better team. Las Vegas is good enough to keep this game close, but the Chiefs are back to their winning ways, and it would be surprising to see them drop this game.
Prediction: Chiefs over Raiders, 30-24
