The 5-1 Kansas City Chiefs take on the 4-2 Denver Broncos in their second meeting this season, and the biggest game of both teams’ campaigns so far. Chiefs Vs. Broncos last ended in a Kansas City blowout, with the team shocking the world and reclaiming their throne on top of the division. Since then, Denver has looked defensively dominant, and the Chiefs had not lost a game until last Sunday. Will they sweep their rival for the first time since 2022, or will the division race take us to the end of the season?

Chiefs Vs. Broncos Game Guide
Chiefs Vs. Broncos is a must-win for both teams this time, making it one of the most intriguing matchups of the week. Kansas City is coming off a blowout loss to the Seattle Seahawks and has had a very active week. They signed Justin Tucker to the practice squad, making this game the most important for kicker Harrison Butker. Butker has struggled this season, making only 11 of 16 field goal attempts. After only managing three points against Seattle, the Chiefs are hoping to keep him off the field and score touchdowns.
Kansas City is currently thin at the receiver position, and if Rashee Rice doesn’t play, running the ball may be their only viable option to generate offense. Kenneth Walker III is coming off of his worst game of the season so far, only rushing for 36 yards on 14 carries. He is expected to bounce back against the Broncos, whom he rushed for 173 yards and a touchdown in their Week One matchup. Denver’s run defense has been a weak spot, as they average 133.3 rushing yards given per game. If Walker does bounce back, he could have similar stats to Week One.

Denver has looked like a different team since that Week One game, allowing an average of 18.3 points per game since Week Two. Their offense has continued to be abysmal, as they are the third-worst offense by yards per game at 270 and are averaging 20.6 points per game. QB Bo Nix has been disappointing this year with a 45.2 QBR, the 26th best in the league. He has only thrown seven touchdowns and is averaging 5.8 yards per pass attempt. His ultra-conservative playstyle has frustrated many Broncos fans, and the Chiefs hope to capitalize on it.
Overall, the Chiefs have their hands full, having to deal with two games in a row against elite defenses. Compared to Seattle, though, Denver’s defense is a better matchup for what Kansas City has been doing successfully this season. A strong Walker game should put the Chiefs over the edge for a victory.
End Of My Chiefs Vs. Broncos Rant
It would be shocking if the Chiefs Vs. Broncos game ended in a blowout in either direction. Kansas City certainly wants to bounce back after an embarrassing loss, and the Broncos want to keep pace in the division. I believe the Chiefs will be more motivated to win this game because of last week’s embarrassing loss. In a must-win situation, I’m taking Kansas City every time.
Prediction: Chiefs over Broncos, 22-17
