Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever faced an elimination game Tuesday night against the Las Vegas Aces. But Caitlin Clark had other ideas and came through with a massive game of scoring 27 points and 15 assists. The star guard became the first player in WNBA history with that many points and assists in a regular season or playoff game. This helped the Fever stay alive in the series knotting it up to 1-1 as the do or die game shifts back to Las Vegas on Thursday night.

It will be another tall task for the Fever to eliminate the former champions Las Vegas Aces in their own house on Thursday night. The Fever will have to play the defense they played Tuesday night to keep star forward A’ja Wilson at bay. If the Fever can do what they did at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Tuesday night, they have a chance to put the series away and pull a big upset in these WNBA playoffs.

The big three for Indiana played outside their minds, Kelsey Mitchell had herself a 26-point game, Aliyah Boston finished with 22 points, five assists and four rebounds. Combined all three players had 89-points, which is the total amount of points the Aces scored in the game. The Indiana Fever were locked into the game two Tuesday night showing no mercy to the Las Vegas Aces.

While the Aces struggled to get stops, the Fever were aggressive in Game two and that was something that was missing in Game one of the series. Aces coach Becky Hammon mentioned that the Aces were just poor as a group defensively and a step behind all night. Indiana has shown it can speed up the Aces, causing confusion and miscues.

Survive And Advance: Who Claims The Series On Thursday?

Las Vegas is a tough environment to come into and play in for any visiting team. Its loud, intimidating, and intense. Especially since the Aces are reigning champions and have one of the best WNBA players in history A’ja Wilson. The Fever have beaten the Aces this season twice in their own building, but can they bring the momentum from Game two from home court into Game three.?

Caitlin Clark, Alyiah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell will have to have another strong game while keeping the Aces star three players: Aja Wilson, Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young held to a minimum. All three players dominated Game one with scoring 93 of 102 points. The Indiana Fever will have to come out ready to play and hold their own in order to win and not be sent home.

Whoever wins this game will move on into the semifinals playing either the Golden State Valkyries or the Dallas Wings. The Valkyries are leading the series 1-0 but if they win, they will move on and await a winner from the Fever-Aces series. Either team will face a very talented team in the semifinals but that will be one more step into possibly getting into the WNBA Finals.
