Bradley Beal is expected to wear Chris Paul’s iconic No. 3 jersey with the Los Angeles Clippers, creating a major NBA controversy surrounding CP3’s legacy and possible jersey retirement. Lawrence Frank told CP3 they would retire his jersey before they sent him home. The disrespect is crazy.”He’s a legend.

The history and brand can’t be touched, nor erased,” Beal stated

It’s really curious that the Clippers allowed Beal to wear the number 3 jersey right after Paul’s retirement. Normally, teams advise players not to wear the numbers of recently retired legends who have a good chance of being immortalized.Just a reminder that

Chris was shipped out by the Clippers in the middle of the night during his last season in the NBA, and he had come back to the team precisely to retire. A few days ago, Paul gave an interview and said that was the biggest disrespect he had ever faced in his life.

According to the Bleacher Report, It’s really curious that the Clippers allowed Beal to wear the number 3 jersey right after Paul’s retirement. Normally, teams advise players not to wear the numbers of recently retired legends who have a good chance of being immortalized.Just a reminder that

Not only that, but the number 3 was used by Chris, the greatest player in their franchise history, who had already received the promise of the number’s retirement from the Clippers’ directors. However, Paul was let go from the franchise last year without warning, and after that, his relationship soured.the Los Angeles Clippers put Bradley Beal jerseys with the number 3 up for sale in their official store. Beal wore the jersey until last season.

Bradley Beal Chris Paul Jersey: Ugly In L.A.: Clippers Sell Beal No. 3 Jerseys After Promising To Retire CP3’s Number

They have listed Bradley No. 3 jerseys for sale in their team store, Paul’s former number. CP3 said on the ‘7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony’ podcast that he was promised his jersey would be retired for his contributions to the franchise.

Beal giving No. 3 to Paul in 2025 was supposed to be a gesture of respect. Taking it straight back after CP3 says the Clippers told him they would retire his jersey makes the whole thing look even uglier. He genuinely deserves better.

Cap circumvention is one thing, but disrespecting Paul as the greatest player in their franchise history and giving his jersey number to Bradley is where the line has to be drawn. I wonder if he ends up getting his jersey retired with the New Orleans Hornets, who are called the Charlotte Hornets and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Letting Bradley wear CP3’s number isn’t a good look, especially since Lawrence told him they were retiring his number before sending him home last season. Regardless of the ugliness of how his tenure ended, that just comes off as unnecessarily petty and only adds to the negative PR that’s come their way this month.

Not that one. The number 3 belonged to Clippers legend Chris, who wore it in L.A. For seven seasons. That is revolting. The man was known for his jersey number CP3, and now the Clippers are going to give it to Bradley.
