Good news for Bayern Munich and their fans as star Leroy Sane decided to stay and rejected an offer from the Saudi side Al-Ittihad.
What Happened?
According to Sky Sport Germany, Sane is set to stay at Bayern Munich as he just rejected a huge offer from Al-Ittihad. The Saudi Arabian side was apparently willing to pay him €100 million for a four-year contract.
It might have come off as a shock to Al-Ittihad as Sane ended up refusing their approach. He is planning on extending his contract.
What Are The Details Behind Sane’s Contract?
The publication also reported that Bayern is close to signing a new deal with Sane, which will keep him with the team until 2028. The deal might be finalized in the upcoming two weeks.
He is even willing to accept a pay cut to remain with the German giants. His new contract is rumored to be €10m per season. It could, however, reach €14m and €16m with bonuses.
It doesn’t come as a surprise that Sane will stay at Bayern Munich. After all, he’s said that he wants to stay in Munich. The club is also looking to keep him, especially since he is part of coach Vincent Kompany’s plans.
He still wants to win the Champions League with Bayern Munich, which might be one of the reasons that convinced him to stay.
Sane Made The Right Decision
Sane’s decision to reject Al-Ittihad and remain at Bayern Munich is the right one. This will probably be proven in the future. With the Bavarian side, Sane has more chances to write history in Europe. With Al-Ittihad, however, what he might achieve there might not be worth it.

Money isn’t everything, and sometimes loyalty can’t be bought. In a time when waves of players leave their teams to join Saudi Arabia clubs, Sane’s decision is a welcomed change. Hopefully he achieves his Champions League dream with Bayern Munich.
End Of My Bayern Munich Rant
Bayern Munich has just won with how they kept one of their main players with them. This will surely impact their upcoming seasons for the best.
