UConn Huskies shooting guard Azzi Fudd was on the cover of SLAM 259. She was the National Champion and the 2025 Final Four Most Outstanding Player.

“I want to have fun this year,” Fudd stated. She mentioned that this will be her last year and wants to appreciate every single thing while having fun.

Fudd’s cover shoot outfits make a strong impression. She wore a special piece to honor Jennifer Azzi, the trailblazing player she was named after, and had custom nails to celebrate a special group of Huskies.

Fudd’s first and last seasons with the Huskies both featured her on the cover of SLAM. She is the fourth women’s college basketball player to achieve a solo cover, alongside Indiana Fever point guard Caitlin Clark, USC Trojans guard JuJu Watkins, and former Washington Mystics small forward Chamique Holdsclaw.

People who believe that Fudd receiving attention is something new clearly have not followed women’s basketball for long. She was one of the most well-known high school players, but injuries hampered her progress.

The media is now beginning to acknowledge the remarkable talent that has long been recognized by numerous educational institutions. Fudd has consistently been regarded as a standout talent in her field.
