Ruben Amorim is ready to make some changes at Manchester United before the new season starts. It has already been reported that the head coach is planning to let go of some big names.

What Has Been Said?

According to The Sun, Amorim is ready to let go of Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho. He is planning not to take them with the team as they head to their pre-season tour in the USA in July.

Apparently, if the four players didn’t manage to find a new team for themselves, they will spend their time training alone at Carrington training ground. It certainly won’t feel good to be left behind. This might be Amorim’s way of making it clear that they have no spot in his plans.

What Is On Amorim’s Mind?

The publication also reported what Amorim is thinking of currently. According to a club source:

“Amorim is stamping his authority on the club. It was hard arriving mid-season but he now has the opportunity to shape the team in his image. And he’s wasting no time. He only wants players who would die for the shirt and are on board with his ideas.”

It comes across as harsh that he believes the four won’t be able to do their best for Manchester United. The head coach also wants to axe them to have a smaller team:

“He also wants a smaller squad to create an intimate team bond so that everyone gets enough game time to be at peak fitness when called upon. He doesn’t want any bad apples or distractions.”

Manchester United “Might” Need The Changes

If fans looked at the situation from Amorim’s POV, they might understand where he is coming from. After Manchester United’s disastrous season, the head coach will want something to happen if he wants to keep his position.

During last season, United finished the league at the 15th place, which isn’t something fans wanted to see. Fans then moved their hopes to the Europa League final but the team lost it after Tottenham managed to end the match with a 1-0 result.

There Are Some Possible Offers

There have been some reports that Garnacho already had an offer made for him. Apparently, Napoli wanted to sign the winger for £45 million ($60.7 million), but United are hoping for a £70 million ($94.4 million) deal.

Sancho is also under the Italian side’s radar as they consider signing him. This is some good news for him, especially since Chelsea aren’t interested in keeping him. They even paid a £5 million ($6.75 million) penalty to end his loan. This is a kind of a low blow to anyone’s confidence.

Sancho might be hoping that Napoli would reach a deal with his current club. This is only possible if United were ready to let go of him for £25 million ($33.74 million).

On the other hand, Rashford is wanted by Newcastle United. There have also been some rumors that he wants to join Barcelona; it’s still not clear if this deal is going to happen.

The final player of the four outcasts is Antony who had terrible time at Manchester United. He, however, found himself on loan at Real Betis. The Spanish club might be willing to make this deal permanent.

Manchester United Are Bringing In Players

Just like Manchester United is planning to let go of players, they are also bringing in new ones. The English side has managed to sign Matheus Cunha for £62.5 million ($84.34 million).

They are also hoping to sign Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo. Amorim has some hope to since he wants to be reunited with Viktor Gyokeres. So far, this might not be possible since Sporting won’t easily let go of their star player.

A Harsh Ending

Letting go of four stars that easily is harsh on Manchester United’s part. The players have been deemed as great talents who simply lost their footing at United.

From a business side, this is good for the club. From an emotional side, United aren’t keeping their best. At one point, fans will have to ask themselves if the problem is actually with players or with the club itself.

This question might be answered when the four find for themselves new clubs. Then it would be easy to tell if United made the right decision or not.

End Of My Manchester United Rant

Manchester United will regret their decision. Sancho, Antony, Rashford, and Garnacho are great talents. There is no doubt about that. They deserved another chance to prove themselves. After all, most of the team were performing terribly, and not just them.
