Today, Darby Allin is one of AEW’s best professional wrestlers. He is also one of the craziest performers I have ever seen. The high-risk moves and nasty bumps he has taken in his career are insane. I fear that in the long term, he will end up in a wheelchair whenever he chooses to retire. He currently is involved in a big feud with AEW World Champion Jon Moxley. Well the ending to that feud is put on hold as it has been reported by many that Allin will be out of action for multiple months.

How Darby Allin Got Witten Off TV

It was clear too he was being written off of TV in the last episode of Rampage in 2024. Jon Moxley threw Darby Allin down a flight of stairs. What else is new, I lost track of how many times Allin has been thrown down some stairs. I don’t know why or how Darby Allin keeps doing it as it is just painful watching it. Like Mick Foley said in the Dark Side of the Ring episode on the Dynamite Kid “If it looks like it hurts, it probably means it did.”. How he keeps taking these bumps in probably a tremendous amount of pain, is just insanity.

Why Darby Allin Got Written Off TV

When anybody gets pulled off of TV it usually means either the wrestler is injured or has to deal with personal issues. It would also get reported on Stadium Rant in the Combat Sports section of the website. With Darby Allin, it’s completely different as he’s taking off to climb Mount Everest. A big reason it’s for multiple months is Allin is training to climb Mount Everest as just attempting it is completely dangerous. So many people have died climbing it whether it’s due to falls, frostbite, avalanche, altitude sickness, glaciers, etc. A scary fact about Mount Everest is there are dead bodies up and it’s too dangerous to recover what they left behind. It’s not just the climb up the mountain that is dangerous, but the climb down. Ensuring safety is important for a climb like this and I am glad Darby is preparing himself for it.

Darby Original Mount Everest Plan

This reasoning isn’t a tremendous surprise as Darby has been preparing for this climb for a while now. The original plan was for Darby to climb Mount Everest in the Spring of last year. It was going to be around the aftermath when Sting had his retirement match in March/April. Unfortunately, Darby Allin suffered a broken foot in a match against Jay White and had to postpone the climb to 2025. That sucks for Darby because he was looking forward to the climb and having to postpone the climb had to have been a big bummer.

Good Luck Darby, Stay Safe

Its clear that Allin is serious with this climb and is taking the proper steps to ensure safety. My advice to Darby is this, be careful, stay safe, and enjoy the climb. I wish him well on the climb and that he return safely. We are rooting for you Darby and hopefully every other pro wrestling fan is. Its going to be cool seeing all the photos that Darby is going to take on his journey. An AEW Flag being panted on the top is going to be used all over AEW Social media.
