Stop if you heard this one before, but Adam “Pacman” Jones was arrested again. This guy has been arrested so many times that he’s going to need to make mortgage payments in his jail cell. It’s hard to keep track of how many times he’s been arrested and there has to be a Guinness world record with his name in it on the number of arrests.
This time, Pacman Jones was arrested in Kentucky for multiple charges. The charges are as follows, Alcohol Intoxication in a public place, disorderly conduct, and an assault on a police or probation officer. Sound familiar? It’s because not 7 months ago he committed similar crimes after the Mike Tyson and Jake Paul fight in Dallas, Texas. He was seen drunk at the end of that show, and while being publicly intoxicated assaulted a police officer. The latest arrest hit Jones’s wallet more as his bond was set at 10,000 dollars and was eventually released from prison.
While no further details have been revealed, what is common is that Pacman once again was put behind bars. How this man hasn’t gotten a lengthy sentence in the past few years is a flaw in the justice system. He’s never going to learn his lesson with his lengthy criminal history. He’s averaging an arrest a year this decade. At this point, it is time to ask, how many slaps on the wrist is this guy going to get? Yes, he spent time in jail multiple times, but it’s clear he’s a lost cause.
It’s also clear that Jones has an issue with alcohol. A lot of these arrests are tied to him being publicly intoxicated and with the amount of arrests he has had, this man seriously needs to get help. Not only is he harming society with his arrests, but he’s harming himself with the choices he has been making.
It’s just sad because on the football field, Adam Jones was a great player. He spent 12 seasons in the NFL, was a Pro Bowler for multiple years, and was one of the top corners in the league. He played with the Tennessee Titans, Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengals, and Denver Broncos. However, off the field, he has just been a complete mess and gotten chance after chance, yet he continues to get into bad situations. Hopefully, this is the wake-up call for him, but there have been plenty of wake-up calls for him to do that.
