Well, we are officially a few days away from Super Bowl LIX. Not long ago, I recapped every single team that was in the playoffs and didn’t make the Superb Bowl. Well now, it’s time to dive deeper into the two teams that will play in this years Super Bowl. Let’s start with the AFC team…

Kansas City Chiefs

Oh yay, the Kansas City Chiefs are in the Super Bowl, again. Everybody and their neighbors knew that the Kansas City Chiefs were going to the Super Bowl. Why do you think I keep calling it the Kansas City Invitational when doing my AFC Playoff Preview? I didn’t even bother with an NFC Playoff preview because of how predictable the Chiefs making the Superb Bowl.

The Heinous Refball That Has Been One-sided

What also has been helping the Chiefs, is the refs. There have been so many questionable calls that have favored them that the talk of NFL games being rigged is picking back up again. I love Mahomes too, but it’s clear he’s getting the Brady calls when it comes to some of these hits. Goodell claims things are ridiculous but the problem is he isn’t the most trustworthy person. Now that that is out of the way, let’s get into the Chiefs team itself.

The NFL refs claim it’s insulting and preposterous about games being rigged. How about this, it’s insulting and preposterous with the way you miss blatant penalties week after week.

Chiefs Offense

Where to even begin with this Chiefs offense? There is so much great talent on this team, including the greatest QB in the NFL today and in this decade, Patrick Mahomes. I don’t care if he is getting the Brady calls nowadays, he is one of the best QBs I have ever seen here. It also helps that he has a great offensive line and weapons around him. At wide receiver, there are a lot of names including Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, Xavier Worthy, Justin Watson, and especially DeAndre Hopkins.

Hopkins has been a disappointment as a Chief since they traded for him, but can be a dangerous weapon when needed. At Tight End Travis Kelce and Noah Gray are a good duo. At running back Isiah Pacheco is the main back. What’s different this year is the return of Kareem Hunt who still has plenty left in the tank.

Chiefs Defense

What is very scary about the Chiefs is this defense. At pass rushers, they are loaded with players. Mike Danna, Felix Anudike-Uzomah, Josh Uche, Charles Omenihu, and of course George Karlaftis. That’s not even including Chris Jones at defensive tackle as well. A strong linebacker core in Leo Chenal, Nick Bolton, and Drue Tranquill. The Chiefs secondary is stacked too with Trent McDuffie, Jaylen Watson, Justin Reif, and Bryan Cook. There are little to no weak spots on this team, but there is one left opponent for them to face. So let’s get into the team that will face the Eagles in the Kansas City Invitational.

Philadelphia Eagles

Congratulations Philadelphia Eagles fans, your team made it back to the Superb Bowl. Honestly, they were the favorites in the NFC to begin with. Many said this was the Lions’ year, but their injuries were just too many for them to overcome. There’s a lot to go through with this Eagles team.

Eagles Offense

The Eagle’s offense is the definition of stacked. Just look at this offensive line with Lane Johnson, Mekhi Becton, Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson, and Cam Jergens. That is a very great offensive line unit. While Jergens had been playing hurt he should be good to go. Who else is injured heading into this game is someone to keep an eye on. Jalen Hurts who once again has had such a great season, but he’s been battling a knee. Luckily he’s been playing with it all season and with an extra week of rest he should be good to go.

What’s different this time around for Philadelphia? Well, they got an upgrade at running back, his name is Saquon Barkley. Now that he is on a more competently run team, he has been one of the most dominant running backs in football. Honestly, I’m happy for him because he’s so talented and deserves to play in a Super Bowl. Another running back often underappreciated is Kenneth Gainwell. While he’s dealing with knee/concussion issues he should be good to go as a nice pass-catching running back.

Speaking of catching the football, Philadelphia has got plenty of those too. The one that stands out is AJ Brown. The moment the Titans fell apart was when they traded AJ Brown on draft day to select Treylon Burks. I was a big fan of Burks back in the day, but he has not panned out at all. Tennessee could have used AJ Brown. It also helps Philadelphia that Devonta Smith is on the offense and has proven he’s a weapon. Along with other wife receivers like Johnny Wilson, Jahan Dotson, and Parris Campbell, there are plenty of players for hurts to throw too.

This isn’t getting into the tight ends. Dallas Goedert once again proves he is one of the best in the business for the position he plays. There is also one other name I want to shout out in that tight-end room. His name is Grant Calcaterra he has been a hidden gem on this offense as both a blocker and a receiver. No word yet on C.J. Uzomah’s status as he’s dealing with an abdomen issue, but he’s another guy to watch out for.

Eagles Defense

Going into the defensive side of the team, the Eagles have a lot of good pieces. I want to shout out the coaching with defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. Dude was a terrible head coach with the Denver Broncos, but he’s one of the best defensive coordinators in the NFL today. Just look at how poorly coached the defense was last year, it’s a miracle how much better it is this year.

The Eagles have one of the best defenses in the NFL. Let’s start with the secondary which was one of their weak points last season, but they had two great additions in the draft. One being Cooper DeJean and the other Quinyon Mitchell. Both have developed quickly and have been main pieces in that cornerback room. The Eagles also have Darius Slay, Chauncey “C.J.” Gardner Johnson, Reed Blankenship, and Kelee Ringo.

That’s not even getting to the pass ushing core. The standouts are Josh Sweat, Nolan Smith, Brye Huff, and a returning Brandon Graham. The defensive line is stacked too with Jordan Davis, Jalen Carter, and Jalyx Hunt. The one big question mark is at linebacker. Especially with the injury of Nakobe Dean, who will not be in the Super Bowl with this squad. Luckily Oren Burks and Zach Baun have done a good job with taking over the reigns with him out.

My Prediction For Who Will Win Super Bowl LIX

Just give the trophy to the Kansas City Chiefs, we know you want to NFL. Especially as you want to have a three-peat Super Bowl winner for the first time in NFL history, will it be a close game? I think so but no matter what the Chiefs will get their win. As for my MVP pick, I’m going Travis Kelce. Yes, he has declined this season, but I think he’s going to have a big game. That and they want to please all of the Taylor Swift fans and make it a win-win for both sides. Please let me be wrong and have the Eagles win it this year.
