Yesterday, it was revealed that WWE was releasing six roster members. Well, there is more bad news; more names have also been revealed. The past few days have just gotten darker, as I hate hearing news of wrestlers losing their jobs. Let’s talk about the other wrestlers that have been released.
Isla Dawn

Cedric Alexander’s release surprised me because he just signed a new deal not 5 months ago, but this one came out of nowhere. I thought WWE claimed they’d build up the Women’s Tag Team Division. The Unholy Union held the title after a victory at Clash at the Castle in Scotland PPV in June 2024. At this point, eliminate the division and burn the tag belts.
I found this out while researching, but did you know Isla Dawn has not had a televised main roster match since November 3rd, 2024? I legitimately thought that she was injured, but apparently, she wasn’t if she was given her release.
I am at a loss for words here, as she and Alba Fyre were a good tag team. They still had potential in WWE, but now Dawn is gone and Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair losing the belts during that promotion was pointless.
No word yet on Alba Fyre’s status with WWE. If she is kept, she will likely be in the WWE Midcard in the hunt for the Intercontinental Championship. If not, going down to NXT and being repackaged could be possible. If her name does get announced as a release, that wouldn’t be a shock, either.
I agree with Lyra Valkyria in here post on X, she is going to be a great get in any women’s division. I liked her during her NXT UK days and wish she did more in the company. As for where she goes next, AEW makes sense, as they could use some female talent. TNA/Impact would make sense, too, with Jordynne Grace’s departure, but that decision will be Isla’s to make.
Giovanni Vinci

I mean, this can’t be a surprise. Even the entire Ring Side Rant crew on episode 7 saw this coming from a mile away. I gave it 6 months until he got released after he got buried in that match against Apollo Crews in his new gimmick. Looking back, he was pretty much done the moment he broke apart from that faction, and they didn’t even have an end plan for that story. He just left the group and was never brought up again by Kaiser or Gunther.
There has been heat between Vinci and Kaiser & Gunther. There is a rumor, and I want to mention that anyone involved does not confirm this. Vinci was hitting on Ludwig Kaiser’s girlfriend, Tiffany Stratton, behind the scenes, and it royally angered both Kiaser and Gunther. Now, we’ll never get confirmation on whether that is true until one side speaks, but if it were, that would make sense why WWE had Vinci written out of Imperium so suddenly.
As for Vinci, he royally got screwed over, and it is wasted talent. I hope he succeeds post-WWE and can see him having a good run on the Independent Circuit again. New Japan would be an excellent play for him as they need stars, and Vinci could be a good one.
Good Brothers (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson)

No joke. I thought the Good Brothers had already been released from WWE. I can’t remember the last time they were even on TV. Why they were even brought back is a mystery to me. Yes, they were attached with AJ Styles with the OC, but it was so forgettable. At least they tried adding Mia Yim to the group. She is not Michin because that name is awful, and I will never call her that.
Good Brother’s name, being on the cut list, doesn’t surprise me, and they will bounce back on their feet. They are connected everywhere, including the Independent Circuit, TNA, NJPW, Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, and AEW. If I were to guess, I think they go to AEW and are attached to the Young Bucks when they feud with Kenny Omega again.
I Wish These Former WWE Wrestlers The Best
No matter who the wrestler is, it just sucks that they lost their jobs with the WWE, hopefully, there are no more releases announced and if there are, I will put yet another article to update it. What’s more disgusting is that people are happy about these wrestlers losing their jobs, which is unacceptable. I wish Isla Dawn, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, and Giovanni Vinci the best in what they do next, whether in professional wrestling or not.
