Fantasy Football 2026: Here are 5 quarterbacks to avoid in your draft, including Lamar Jackson, Jayden Daniels and Jalen Hurts.
Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson averaged a career-low 26.8 rushing yards per game last season. He also finished as the QB20 in points per game from Weeks 9-18, and he ranked 33rd in highly accurate throw rate over that stretch.
He still has QB1 overall upside, but QB2 pricing assumes his rushing fully rebounds. With a new play-caller and a reworked offensive line, that is too much risk for me.
The Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels fantasy PPG dropped from 21.5 to 16.8 last season. He ranked 42nd in highly accurate throw rate and has the 26th-ranked schedule for quarterbacks.
He still has elite rushing upside, but durability and offensive uncertainty make QB5 too expensive. I would rather attack the depth at quarterback later.
The Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts had back-to-back seasons with under 3,300 passing yards. He averaged only 26.3 rushing yards per game last season and lost wide receiver A.J. Brown this offseason to the New England Patriots.
He still has a strong floor because of his goal-line rushing, but his passing ceiling and rushing efficiency are trending down. QB6 is too high for that profile.
The Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix led the NFL in pass attempts last season. He ranked 31st in yards per attempt and finished 22nd in fantasy points per dropback.
He needed massive volume to finish as a fringe QB1. With his ankle still worth monitoring, I would rather take a higher-upside quarterback later.
The Miami Dolphins QB Malik Willis averaged 10.9 yards per attempt over the last two seasons. He has only six career starts entering 2026, and they lost Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle this offseason.
The rushing upside is legitimate, but Willis is being asked to maintain absurd passing efficiency with one of the NFL’s weakest receiving corps. At QB20, he feels like this year’s Justin Fields-style landmine.
These five quarterbacks are among my biggest fantasy football QB bust candidates for 2026, especially at their current draft prices.
