Immediately following the Futures Game, MLB introduced a brand-new event called MLBx, a fast-paced 3-on-3 knockout competition featuring Phillies legends, softball stars, and other celebrity talent across two semifinals and a championship round.
The Home Run Derby 2026 takes place Monday, July 13 at 8 p.m. ET, marking Philadelphia’s first time hosting the event since Barry Bonds slugged 17 homers at Veterans Stadium in 1996. For the first time in its history, the Derby streams exclusively on Netflix rather than a traditional cable broadcast. The last Phillie to win the Derby was Ryan Howard in 2006, a year after teammate Bobby Abreu took the title in Detroit, giving the home crowd extra reason to hope for a repeat.
