WWE Night of Champions 2026 predictions – The event takes place this Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. These are the predictions for the event, which has a special start time of 1:00 pm Eastern on June 27, 2026.
Undisputed WWE Champion, “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, has been involved in an escalating storyline with “The Ring General” Gunther. The challenger has been attacking Rhodes and getting involved in his other matches. Gunther has left the champion lifeless in the ring on numerous occasions, leading up to these WWE Night of Champions 2026 predictions.
Sami Zayn was only added to this match last week. Zayn’s storyline has turned him into this whiny, hated character, always complaining for an opportunity. His friendly relationship with Rhodes has been tested on many occasions, including when Gunther selected him as the special guest referee for a title match on SmackDown.
After the controversial special-guest referee match, the scheduled title match turned into a triple-threat. The biggest and most shocking reaction would be Zayn finally turning heel on Rhodes to steal his title. The problem with that is the location, or, rather, the money, backing the event. Look for the champion to retain in a match full of twists and turns.
Neither the fame nor the booking level will be increased for whoever wins the Queen of the Ring Tournament. Passing on an opportunity to elevate newer talent, WWE is feeding Saudi Arabia the stars they’re paying for. One subsequent benefit of two stars of this caliber clashing is the difficulty in predicting who will take the pin.
Iyo Sky is certainly the more talented wrestler from bell-to-bell, but WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan has got plenty going for her as well. Morgan is superior on the mic, leading to more intriguing promotional work with the queen moniker. As the heel, she also has more ways to pull off a win, while protecting Sky in the loss.
Expect Morgan to use a greasy tactic to win in these WWE Night of Champions 2026 predictions. Whether it’s on her own or with help from her faction-mates within Judgement Day, the finish won’t be clean. It’d also be quite the shock to have the champion pinned in a non-title, PLE match.
The King of the Ring Tournament has chosen a brand-name star to counteract the new big thing. After the high of facing “The Beast” Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania for his first WWE PLE, it was unclear where it could go from such an initially high place. Defeating “Main Event” Jey Uso to become the King of the Ring is a pretty nice option. In the unlikely event that doesn’t happen, look for Lesnar to make a surprise appearance.
The expulsion of Seth Rollins from The Vision has built to this steel cage match with Bron Breakker. The feud initially appeared over after Rollins obtained a clean pinfall victory over Breakker at WWE Backlash in early May.
Breakker didn’t handle the loss well. Included in his outbursts was a blindside spear, and also cost Rollins his opening round match in the King of the Ring Tournament.
It’s time for the payoff that is putting Breakker over. It’d be illogical to have Rollins pin him clean at Backlash, just to come back and pin him clean again. With the rules of a steel cage match and with The Vision likely nearby, the options are plentiful for these WWE Night of Champions 2026 predictions.
Heyman may have something up his sleeve, or members of The Vision may find a way into the cage. However it happens, expect WWE to attempt a clever way of protecting Rollins in the loss.
These are two strong sports entertainers, but they lack the true grit of a champion. There will undoubtedly be many feats of strength, and WWE Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton will surely have her high spots. Whether it’s in the ring or on the mic, they both lack the storytelling to elevate a match to an unforgettable level.
Jade Cargill is fresh off a boring and lacklustre WWE Women’s Championship run. Stripping one of their top babyfaces, only to drop it on someone who still cannot call her own match, seems unlikely for these WWE Night of Champions 2026 predictions.
“Absolute” Ricky Saints was feuding with Carmelo Hayes for this opportunity in the leading weeks. In a heated trilogy, Saints pulled out the rubber match using illegal rope leverage. WWE United States Champion Trick Williams, on the other hand, might currently be the hottest star on the roster. The crowd ignites every time his music hits.
Hayes doesn’t feel out of the picture, especially with the controversial end of their number one contender’s match. Whether it gets thrown out or Williams wins, expect the outside interference. One way or another, the champion will retain in these WWE Night of Champions 2026 predictions.
