The Las Vegas Raiders have officially clinched the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Fernando Mendoza will most likely be their choice in April.

The Raiders went 2-14 with one of the worst offenses in NFL history. Their QB room is a disaster. This is the only move that makes sense.

The Mendoza Era Begins

This feels like the reset Raiders fans have been waiting for. Locking in the first pick gives them full control of the board and the future.

If Mendoza is the guy, then the rebuild finally has a clear direction. Now it is on the front office to protect him, build it right, and not rush the process.

Running back Ashton Jeanty, tight end Brock Bowers and Mendoza are a solid foundation for this offense to build on. This Raiders fan base cannot wait to get the ball rolling this offseason and get the head coach search going.

Mendoza, with this organization is a fascinating case of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. He would be a good quarterback in the Raiders organization: hope vs despair.

The End Of My Fernando Mendoza And Raiders Rant

Mendoza is destined to be a Raider. He brings maturity, talent, positivity, and leadership to a locker room that is starving for all those things. If they draft him, they should also hire Indiana’s offensive coordinator for the same position. Do not overthink it; he will be off and running on day one. If they do not get him, they could get Oregon Ducks QB Dante Moore.
