The Kentucky Wildcats defeated the Florida Gators 38-7 in dominating fashion, propelling Kentucky to back-to-back SEC wins for the first time this season.
Kentucky Made History
The Wildcats displayed their dominance on Saturday night, overpowering the Gators.
This is a significant victory, marking the first time since 1950 that Kentucky has won three consecutive home games against Florida, a feat previously achieved from 1950 to 1955.
Furthermore, this game goes down in history as the Gators’ worst loss to the Wildcats since 1950, with a staggering 31-point margin of victory in November of 1950.
Only two coaches in Kentucky football history have five wins against Florida, and both are Paul “Bear” Bryant and current coach Mark Stoops.
Cutter Boley Future Of Program
The Lexington Christian standout keeps delivering this season, showcasing his skills with an impressive 18/23 for 168 passing yards and two touchdowns.
Cutter Boley is proving to be the future of the program, displaying poise, energy, and the ability to use his mobility to make plays and distribute the ball to multiple receivers.
Cutter Boley says this program’s mindset to ‘not quit’ stems from head coach Mark Stoops.

The most significant part of this win over the Gators was Boley outdueling DJ Lagway, who was in the same recruiting class. Boley winning over the top-rated quarterback in the class shows the progress made in two years.
DJ Lagway Benched
One of the key moments in the second half was Florida quarterback Lagway being benched in favor of backup Tramell Jones Jr.
With the game seemingly intact, the idea that the nation’s top quarterback is sitting on the bench cannot bode well for the program moving forward.

The only score in the game came while Lagway was in the game on a muff punt inside Kentucky territory with Jaden Baugh finding the endzone to put the Gators up 7-3.
From there, the Wildcats went to work and put the game away, pressuring Lagway. This resulted in errant throws, including three interceptions, one of which was made by the Frederick Douglass High School product, Ty Bryant.
Complete Game Performance

All eyes were on this game, and Kentucky made sure the fans got the message.
The offense started slowly, but midway through the second quarter and beyond, this was a different football team from the one seen early in the season. They made plays on offense, the defense got crucial stops, and secured three interceptions.
This was a total team effort and a domination of a Florida team that had overpowered Kentucky for many years.
End Of My Kentucky Football Rant
The Wildcats now sit at 4-5 on the season, having won back-to-back games over the Auburn Tigers and Florida, who are struggling to find their footing in a tough season.
Kentucky will face off against FCS Tennessee Tech at Kroger Field next weekend, coming in with a 10-0 record.
Just a month ago, the big question was whether this coaching staff could make it through the season.
Now, the Wildcats have back-to-back wins, a quarterback showing real progress, a defense that’s found its spark after a sluggish start, and a reenergized coaching staff. It feels like the season has been saved from the brink of collapse.
A bowl game is within reach, with only three more games left to decide their fate. The journey begins next week with road games against the Vanderbilt Commodores and Louisville Cardinals, a rivalry that Kentucky hates.
Imagine the excitement of ending the season with a clean sweep, bringing a different energy to the bowl season and setting the stage for a season next year with some real momentum.
