One of the intuitive factors fantasy managers can analyze at this point in the season is the projected strength of a team’s offensive line. Throughout the NFL offseason, several key anchors in the trenches have retired or moved to new teams. The offensive line plays a crucial role in achieving offensive success. Creating gaps for running backs and buying time for the passing game, the unit is often seen as a stable in terms of offensive production. Here are the best and worst in the league according to PFF. One being the best and 32 being the worst.
The Eagles have the pleasure of owning the best tackle combination in the league. With Jordan Mailata at left tackle and Lane Johnson at right, much of Saquon Barkley’s success last season could reasonably be attributed to the stellar play from this offensive line.
This offseason, the legitimacy of the tush-push was at the forefront of the NFLPA’s conversations. The debate eventually led to the league deciding not to outlaw the play. Many have argued that the push isn’t fair or doesn’t reflect what fans want to see in a football game. While these notions have logic, it’s the offensive line in Philadelphia that makes the play truly unstoppable. If some of the weaker units were to attempt the play, fans might be surprised at how ineffective it is when you don’t have the right guys to do it.
Look for the Eagles’ offensive line to dominate once again in 2025.
Swiftly after he arrived in Denver two years ago, Head Coach Sean Payton has built one of the strongest offensive lines in the league. Ben Powers and Quinn Meinerz are representative of the best guard duo the league has to offer.
All five starters are scheduled to return for the 2025 season, allowing fans to disregard a concern for continuity. If the unit manages to stay healthy, look for the Broncos’ offensive line to remain high atop the positional power rankings all year long.
Many watched last postseason as the Bills repeatedly got stuffed on the goal line while attempting to overcome the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs. Modeling after the Eagles, head coach Doug McDermott must have thought the tush-push would serve as the kryptonite they’ve been looking for.
In 2024, the unit only allowed 6 sacks, ranking lowest in the league. While there aren’t any standout stars on line for Buffalo, they’ll have all five starters from last season returning. While star power doesn’t hurt, continuity is a strong factor that can’t be ignored.
Last season was quite a disaster for the Texans. Despite managing to win the division, the team’s offensive line was the worst in the league. After trading their star left tackle, Laremy Tunsil, to the Washington Commanders this offseason, 2025 doesn’t project to be any better.
The unit allowed an unacceptable 235 QB pressures, which was the most in the NFL. If the offense hopes to improve this year, the offensive line will have to perform better.
While the offense in Cincinnati is riddled with talent, the offensive line stands out as the sole weak spot that could slow the team down in 2025. After signing Orlando Brown Jr. last offseason, the left tackle’s production fell off a cliff. They enter this year with two new guards who they hope can bring the unit together for a respectable campaign. For the sake of all fantasy football assets residing on this roster, fans are hoping to see an improvement this year.
The Seahawks roster is a work in progress. After trading away star wide receiver DK Metcalf and signing quarterback Sam Darnold in the offseason, 2025 marks a true turning point for the franchise.
Even after selecting tackle Grey Zabel with their first-round pick this year, the unit looks to rank amongst the worst in the league once again. It’s worth keeping an eye on Darnold’s production in the first few weeks of the season, as he’s known to not handle pressure in the pocket with grace. While names like Kenneth Walker III and Jaxson Smith-Njigba may be exciting on paper, the combination of bad offensive play and general questions surrounding the direction of the franchise should give fantasy managers more pause than it currently is.

Very rarely do we see the entirety of a team’s offensive line return the next year. While most of these offseason moves are minor, it’s worth cross-referencing who found success last year and what changes have been made. Continuity is king when it comes to projected success in the trenches.
