The 2025 NFL Season is just around the corner, and it’s always an exciting time for many fans. It’s also the time of the year when fantasy football players prepare for their draft. One way they plan is to find sleeper players to select in the later rounds. One position where it’s better to wait is at tight end, where there are many options to choose from. Three tight ends are sleeper choices to select in both PPR and non-PPR leagues in fantasy football for 2025.
3. Mason Taylor, New York Jets

Have the Jets ever had a consistently great tight end since Mickey Shuler? Well, they kind of did with Tyler Conklin, but he is now a part of the Los Angeles Chargers. There might be a player that could break that curse, and that is second-round rookie TE Mason Taylor, the son of notable NFL Hall of Famer Jason Taylor. He isn’t getting a lot of hype like Colston Loveland and Tyler Warren, but he is an intriguing option in fantasy.
Look at the other tight ends on the Jets roster, Jeremy Ruckert and Zack Kuntz. That’s it, and neither impressed last year, including Ruckert, who many Jets fans (including myself) have given up on. If Taylor develops properly, he could be a great buy-low TE option in fantasy, especially with how Fields loved to utilize the position as a Bear and Steeler.
2. Tyler Higbee, Los Angeles Rams

Why isn’t Tyler Higbee getting any love in fantasy football leagues? He is an injury risk, but Higbee proved that he has plenty left in the tank with his performances in the playoffs. He looked solid against the Philadelphia Eagles as he had seven receptions for 54 receiving yards and a touchdown. The Rams used a second-round pick on Terrance Ferguson in this class, but Higbee is a trustworthy target for Matthew Stafford to throw to. Higbee will be the number one tight end on the team, and if he is available in the later rounds of the draft, he could be a sneaky gem for fantasy players.
1. Brenton Strange, Jacksonville Jaguars

A sleeper tight end list this season must include Brenton Strange. It may be his third year, but he has a tremendous opportunity this year with the departure of Evan Engram and a hopefully healthier Trevor Lawrence. Plus, Liam Coen loves utilizing tight ends in his offense, and Cade Otton looked solid last year in a stacked Buccaneers offense.
After Brian Thomas at wide receiver, it’s unknown who will be Lawrence’s second reliable target. It’s hard to say Travis Hunter’s name with confidence, as it’s unknown how much the Jaguars will utilize him on offense. That next reliable target could be Brenton Strange, who put up respectable numbers with 40 receptions for 411 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Re-watching his gameplay tape against the Jets last season, there is a ton of potential with him. He has the highest ceiling of all the sleepers and earns the top spot on this list.
End Of My Sleeper Tight End List

Those are the three sleeper tight ends for the 2025 Fantasy Football season. My question is, who else do you believe is a sleeper tight end in fantasy? Do you agree with my list? Let me know in the comments section. Give the article a like and check out more NFL content on Stadium Rant.com.
