The end of a Real Madrid era seems closer than ever as Carlo Ancelotti is rumored to leaving the club soon. Apparently, he is considering a move to Brazil, which means he will try his hand at coaching a national team.

What Has Been Said?

According to The Athletic, Ancelotti is expected to leave Real Madrid very soon. It is reported that Brazil will be his most likely destination.

The publication reports that the coach might stay at Madrid if he wants. It would, however, be in a non-coaching role, which might not be the best option for the coach.

Brazil Being Interested In Ancelotti

Apparently, Brazil has been interested in Ancelotti for a while now. The Athletic claims that the signing of the coach would be “the president’s dream” as described by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

The interest coming from Brazil seems to be mutual, as Ancelotti is seriously considering making this move. The two parties are in advanced talks.

It has reached a point where someone from Brazil was present at Real Madrid’s defeat in the Champions League’s quarter-final in hopes of meeting with Ancelotti. While The Athletic reported this, they also reported that Brazil denied this claim.

Whatever is Ancelotti’s choice, it better be soon. This is because Brazil are looking to sign a new head coach before the next international break.

Who Might Lead Real Madrid?

There has been several names circulating on who will coach Real Madrid after Ancelotti leaves. So far, Bayer Leverkusen head coach Xabi Alonso is the one most likely to take the job.

Alonso has proved himself as a coach so it is understandable that Madrid would be after him. Whether he will take the job or not is yet to be seen. There is, however, a big possibility that he would. Who can say no to a club like Real Madrid?

When Will The Next Step Happen?

It is reported that Real Madrid want to clarify this coaching situation before the Club World Cup starts in June. This doesn’t leave them with a lot of time to act.

The club is waiting for Copa del Rey final to take place before they have a talk with Ancelotti about his future.

Ancelotti Is Leaving A Legacy Behind Him

The head coach can proudly say that he is leaving quite the legacy behind him. Since being appointed inn 2021, Ancelotti won the Champions League twice.

He also won with Real Madrid two La Liga wins and two UEFA Super Cup wins. In addition to this, he won the FIFA Club World Cup before. So he would be leaving with a glittering resume.

What Did Ancelotti Say?

According to The Daily Mail, Ancelotti has spoken previously about his future with Real Madrid. The head coach said then:

“I don’t know, maybe the club will decide to make a change. It could be this year or next year, when my contract runs out. The day I finish here I can only do one thing and that is to thank this club. It could be tomorrow, in 10 days or in a year and the only thing I will do is thank the club. I don’t care if my contract ends this year or next year.”

Alonso Might Be Perfect

If Ancelotti was to leave Real Madrid, fans might see Alonso replacing him. A coach like Alonso could be a great option for the Spanish side, especially with his previous results.

There is, however, some doubt on whether he has enough experience to guide a club such as Real Madrid. Only time would tell if he joined the club.

Perhaps it is time for Ancelotti’s era to end and a new one begins. In recent matches, Real Madrid looked lost most of the time. Their character feels almost erased by Ancelotti’s tactics.

There are very few Madrid fans who might want Ancelotti to stay. The majority are looking forward for his departure, which is understandable. Maybe a new coach would utilize the world-class players that are currently available.

End Of My Real Madrid Rant

Real Madrid has to make up their minds quickly if they want the new head coach to adjust. I believe that it is time to say goodbye to Ancelotti and start a new era.
