Walk It Off and Call Russell Wilson

The 2024 NFL season was tough on the Giants. They finished the year with a 3-14 record and didn’t qualify for the playoffs. The team’s losses and revolving quarterback situation resulted in a weak overall performance that was plagued with injuries and miscommunications. At the end of 2024, one thing was for certain. The giants needed to formulate a plan. Who do you call when you’re on a losing streak, have a deflated fan base and need someone to save the day? You call Russell Wilson. You tell him bring his football, Malik Nabers and a can of whoop ass.

The Leek

While losing is considered a team sport, for one Giant, it was personal.

The Good

Malik Nabers is a Wide Receiver for the Giants. Nabers was the 6th overall pick in the 2024 Draft coming out of LSU. In his first year in the NFL, He set the Giants single-season rookie receptions record (92), and, in the same season, Nabers tied the NFL rookie wide for the most receptions in a single season. The Bad

Despite Nabers’ talent, the season-long, rotating quarterback roster has affected the Giants Offense.-Russell Wilson can MAXIMIZE Malik Nabers🔥 #nyg #nf

Nabers’s performance during the 2024 Season was hindered as he struggled with the modifications made to the roster. In interviews, Nabers admitted that these repeated changes offered many challenges to his performance.

The Ugly

Nabers has been criticized for (what many believe) were a considerable number of drops last season, particularly for a rookie. Nabers suffered a concussion in week 4 against the Cowboys and was forced to sit out the next two games. He then then developed a Groin and Hip Flexor injury that kept him from some practices but did not prevent him from playing. https://www.bigblueview.com/2024/11/1/24284178/does-malik-nabers-have-a-drop-problem

Naughty Nabers

Despite his stellar skills on the field, Nabers’ less-than-enthusiastic attitude about his team’s performance has gotten him into hot water. Nabers made several questionable statements to the press. After a loss, he told reporters that his team’s performance and efforts were “soft as f***.”- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEykiOrb2Wc

The Man With The Golden Arm

Russell Wilson

In 2008-2010, Russell Wilson began his collegiate career as an NC State Wolfpack. He then spent  2008 to 2010 playing for the Badgers when he transferred to the University of Wisconsin. Wilson was selected in the 3rd round, 75th overall, by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2012 draft.

During his collegiate career, Wilson was named Pepsi NFL rookie of the year. After signing with the Seattle Seahawks, he led his team to two consecutive Super Bowl appearances. The Seahawks won Super Bowl XLVIII, then lost the following year after being intercepted at the goal line by Malcolm Butler.

A 10x Pro Bowl candidate, Wilson also won the Walter Payton Man of the Year award in 2020. Wilson holds the record for most wins by an NFL quarterback through nine seasons and is one of five quarterbacks with a career passer rating of over 99.-https://www.stadiumrant.com/new-york-giants-sign-super-bowl/

Enter The Dual Threat

Russell Wilson, who’s often dubbed as the best “Dual Threat” quarterback of all time, signed a one-year contract with the Giants in 2025. His Salary? A mere 10.5 million. He will be the first quarterback to lead New York in the upcoming NFL Season. Wilson is the third quarterback the Giants have signed in 2025.

Molotov Cocktail

So, what happens when you mix one part Super Bowl Champion with two parts magic-handed rookie? You shake vigorously, and BOOM! You’re left with an epic explosion that the Giants hope doesn’t blow up the lab.

How, you may ask? Well, Wilson is known for his incredible arm and ability to connect with his receivers. Nabers made NFL history last season. He tied Puka Nacua for the most receptions by a rookie in NFL history.

Calling In The Cows

Both Nabers and Wilson have expressed their excitement to play together. Gushing on social media and complementing one another till the cows come home.-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1jiFky1YFI

Will Quarterback #4 Please Stand Up

The Giants may use their #3 pick to snag a first-round quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft. Players being considered are Travis Hunter, Shedeur Sanders, and Abdul Carter. The End Of My Malik Nabers And Russell Wilson Rant

Whomever the Giants choose, one thing is certain. The Giants have a solid Veteran quarterback and a phenomenal Wide Receiver. With a strategically chosen host of other top athletes, the Giants can turn last season’s frown upside down, and become an explosive 2025 NFL team that wins.
