The Philadelphia 76ers will need to make some creative moves to add depth behind the core four of their starting lineup. The NBA free agency market will be the clear path to sign one or two pieces, but adding someone through trade will be the key. These are five players who would be homerun pickups for the 76ers.
Jaylin Williams

Jaylin Williams would be the best possible addition for the 76ers to back up Joel Embiid. He can do it all on the court, but has been blocked by the loaded depth in OKC. The Oklahoma City Thunder may consider this, as they are currently offloading a ton of salary to make their roster make a little more sense next season. Williams will not be the final Thunder player on this short list of names for Philadelphia to target.
Terrence Shannon Jr.

Terrence Shannon Jr. may have made more sense as a target a few weeks ago, before the Minnesota Timberwolves made all their big moves. Despite it becoming a little more unlikely, he would still fit the 76ers great. He would fill in as a reserve wing, adding scoring to the second unit, which will now be anchored by Labaron Philon.
Ryan Kalkbrenner

Ryan Kalkbrenner, despite only going into his second season, may be available for the right price out of Charlotte. The Hornets’ big man has been blocked by the addition of Naz Reid and the emergence of Moussa Diabate. The Hornets’ great depth in the frontcourt may make the defensive anchor available for Philadelphia to pounce on. He would, similar to Williams, be one of the best backup centers Embiid has had throughout his career.
Thomas Sorber

Thomas Sorber, the second Thunder big man listed, would be a little more of a risk. He is coming off a major injury and has yet to play in the NBA. He has ties to the Philadelphia area and has huge potential to be an impact player. If he pans out, he could easily be the best name on this list in a few seasons.
Noah Clowney

Noah Clowney would instantly become the starting power forward for the 76ers if the Brooklyn Nets were to deal him. They have loaded up on frontcourt depth, recently adding Julius Randle via trade. Clowney is a willing shooter and rebounder, which the Sixers desperately need next to Embiid. He will be just 22 next season.
End Of My Philadelphia 76ers Rant
The 76ers have one simple goal this offseason: add depth to a roster that has desperately needed it for years. The cap situation makes it difficult, but they have to get creative in trades. These five players could make a real change in the outlook of Philadelphia next season.
