Another Sunday is here, and there are plenty of intriguing Week Two NFL matchups. After a historic Week One, when the NFL tied its record for most points scored in a single week, it’ll be interesting to see how certain teams respond.

Green Bay Packers @ New York Jets

This Week Two matchup seemed insignificant when the schedule was released. Now, however, there’s some excitement because of how Week One played out. The New York Jets looked good in Week One, beating the Tennessee Titans 23-10.

The Green Bay Packers, meanwhile, blew a 22-10 lead to the Minnesota Vikings, who lost Kyler Murray early in the game after being hit while sliding. This matchup suddenly became a clash of streaks. The Packers haven’t won a game since Dec. 7, 2025, and haven’t won a road game since Thanksgiving.

The Jets, meanwhile, haven’t intercepted the opposing quarterback since January 2025. Jordan Love has turned the ball over five times in the last four games. One of those streaks is bound to end on Sunday.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Denver Broncos

Another critical week two NFL matchup matters for several reasons, especially for the Denver Broncos. The orange and blue looked horrible in their opener vs. the Kansas City Chiefs, losing 31-10. Both the offense and defense struggled mightily.

The Jacksonville Jaguars were sensational in Week One, thrashing the Cleveland Browns 34-10. Trevor Lawrence threw for four touchdowns and posted a passer rating of 150.6, the highest in the league. He seems to have picked up right where he left off at the end of 2025.

The Broncos can’t afford to go down 0-2. Their next four games include challenging matchups against the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Chargers, and Seattle Seahawks. A 2-4 or even 1-5 record is certainly on the horizon.

Past the Week One dichotomy, the Jaguars handed Denver their worst loss in 2025. Lawrence and company came to town and won 34-20 as they were the only team to win in Mile High that regular season.

The revenge factor is there for Nix and company as well. The Broncos have a lot at stake. Can they bounce back and avoid the 0-2 start?

Los Angeles Rams @ New York Giants (Monday Night Football)

The final Week Two NFL matchup to watch is another one that didn’t seem all that exciting when the schedule came out. Once again, the Week One results made it more interesting. The New York Giants and Jaxson Dart looked great in their opener, beating the Dallas Cowboys 28-20.

The Los Angeles Rams had the opposite showing, suffering a 27-7 blowout in Australia at the hands of the 49ers. Matthew Stafford looked mortal, throwing for just over 150 yards and an interception. This game has now become a must-win for the Rams.

It also features Aaron Donald’s return. The dynamic pass-rush duo will still be on pause, as Myles Garrett is out for at least four weeks due to knee surgery. It’s only Week Two, but with the expectations that Los Angeles had coming into this year, they cannot go down 0-2, especially in the NFC West.

The tension will start rising, and it’ll be interesting to see how Donald approaches the season if the team isn’t great. He returned because of Garrett, but now that he’s out, Donald is the lone star again and will face double teams like he did in his prime. Is the former three-time Defensive Player of the Year up to the task of being a driving force for a team that may not be coasting to victory?

On the flip side, this would give fans a good look at how legit the Giants would be. A New York victory or a close game would be an encouraging sign that John Harbaugh has turned the franchise around.

The Packers, Rams, and Broncos all have had a rough start to the season. NFL fans know Week One can be a mirage. Those teams now have to prove that Week One was merely a mirage by responding in Week Two.

These Week Two NFL matchups matter because the season could get late early for teams with high aspirations this year. Who do you think will bounce back? Will any team have a second straight dud?
