NFL Free Agency begins on March 9th, 2026, with the legal tampering period officially opening. There will be hundreds of players who will have a chance to sign a shiny new contract. Players will return to their teams, and players will depart for what they consider a better situation (or paycheck). The NFL Combine is the first major event of the off-season, but free agency is where most of the action truly begins.

This list of free agents was made using Spotrac, rankings from both NFL Network and PFF, as well as all players who have recently been released.

Any player who was set to be a free agent but re-signed with their team prior to the start of free agency will not appear here, as they are no longer free agents. As for players who are franchise tagged, they will be on the list as they can still be traded, just like Davante Adams was a few years ago. There may be some players on the list who happened to re-sign in the midst of this article being reviewed, but it will be as up to date as possible in terms of who is available.

NFL Free Agency Predictions Summary

Predicting the landing spots of NFL free agents is so tough, and in large part, because teams makes suprise moves all the time. Teams with no cap space always seem to find a way to make a big splash. This year’s free agent class isn’t thought to be that great, but there are still some big names who will be able to cash in, and a lot of solid depth options as well. Regardless of how good the class is, players will get paid, and a lot of questions will be answered over the next few days.

Which team will win the Malik Willis sweepstakes? Which teams will pay up for Kenneth Walker and Travis Etienne? Will Mike Evans really leave the Buccaneers? Will Alec Pierce hit the $30million per year mark? What will be the record-breaking number that Tyler Linderbaum receives?

Where will Trey Hendrickson go? How many players from their defense will the Seahawks be able to bring back? Which teams will spend on a loaded linebacker class?

The next few days should be full of excitement and surprises, so get ready, because NFL Free Agency is here.
