The 2025 NFL season is flying by, and the confidence of fans everywhere continues to be shaken. Nothing is making sense, and the early playoff picture looks insane. Here are the Week 7 NFL predictions
The Steelers have been a pleasant surprise in 2025. They’re firmly leading the AFC North with a 4-1 record, and Aaron Rodgers is playing great football. The defense finally looks settled in, and they might actually have a playoff team.
The Bengals showed some life with newly acquired QB Joe Flacco in a 27-18 loss to the Green Bay Packers. They might win a few games against bad teams this year, but the Steelers don’t fit that criteria. This is a division matchup, though, and anything can happen.
Winner: Pittsburgh Steelers
The Jaguars were riding a high after beating the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5. The magic quickly wore off when they lost 20-12 against the Seattle Seahawks. They need to bounce back against a tough opponent in London.
The Rams have been extremely exciting to watch in 2025, but they might see a slight decline in the coming weeks. Puka Nacua suffered an ankle injury on Sunday and is questionable for this matchup. This shouldn’t be too worrisome; if anyone can make it work without his top receiver, it’s Matthew Stafford.
Winner: Los Angeles Rams
It’s time to ask the question: Are the Bears good? They’re 3-2 and coming off an electric win over the Washington Commanders. Everything is starting to come together for Ben Johnson’s squad.
The Saints fell to 1-5 after a loss to the New England Patriots. Their upset win over the New York Giants might just have been a fluke; now they’re back to their regular scheduled programming. Bears fans should be excited for this game.
Winner: Chicago Bears
This game features two less-than-impressive, one-win teams fighting to prove they don’t need to hit the reset button. The Dolphins’ offense ranks 14th in points in 2025, while the Browns rank dead last. I’ll take Miami to win this one, but I don’t feel great about it.
Winner: Miami Dolphins
The Chiefs might officially be back. They came out on Sunday night and outperformed the Detroit Lions en route to a 30-17 victory. Rashee Rice is returning from suspension, just in time for a divisional matchup.
The Raiders came away with a win in Week 6, although they beat the Tennessee Titans. Vegas has a lot to figure out before it can win a game like this.
Winner: Kansas City Chiefs
The Vikings are coming off a bye week and currently sit at 3-2. They’ve exceeded expectations with Carson Wentz at QB, but it hasn’t been pretty. They’re going up against an angry and embarrassed opponent.
The Eagles have been in a spiral for the last few weeks, losing to the Denver Broncos and the Giants. Offensive woes have reared their ugly head, and everyone seems frustrated. This is a perfect game for the Super Bowl champs to get their groove back, right?
Winner: Philadelphia Eagles
The Panthers are 3-3 and coming off a massive win over the Dallas Cowboys. Rico Dowdle has been dominant running the ball, and the entire offense is benefiting from it.
The Jets are a trainwreck right now. Not only did they lose to the Broncos in London, they ended the game with -10 passing yards. The coaching decisions were baffling, and Garrett Wilson is injured. The hits aren’t going to stop coming.
Winner: Carolina Panthers
Don’t look now, but the Patriots are currently leading the AFC East. This team has completely turned a corner under head coach Mike Vrabel. Drake Maye is creeping into MVP conversations as well.
The Titans are everything the Pats are not. The offense is nonexistent, they’ve just fired their head coach, and it seems rookie Cam Ward doesn’t have the right support around him. This might be an easy win for a young, electric Patriots team.
Winner: New England Patriots
The Giants have renewed life with rookies Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo. This team is fun to watch again, and coming off a 10-day break after beating the Super Bowl champions. They might be running into a buzzsaw on Sunday.
The Broncos’ defense is dominant, and they showed it with nine sacks against the Jets in London. They’re arguably the most dangerous group in the NFL right now, leading the league with 30 sacks. In just his fourth start, Dart and the Giants have their work cut out for them.
Winner: Denver Broncos
The Colts have been a pleasant surprise through six weeks, currently sitting at 5-1 atop the AFC. Daniel Jones is seeing a resurgence, and Jonathan Taylor might be the best running back in the NFL once again.
The Chargers have been inconsistent following a 3-0 start. Now at 4-2, they were able to knock off the Dolphins in a close game. If LA’s defense can shut down Taylor, Justin Herbert can take care of the rest.
Winner: Los Angeles Chargers
The Packers avoided a collapse against the Bengals on Sunday, and it was tough to watch. Green Bay should be dominating mediocre teams; instead, they’re barely skating by. Maybe they can return to that this week.
The Cardinals nearly pulled off a win over the Colts, but might now be without Marvin Harrison Jr. and Kyler Murray. It’s hard to see Arizona pulling this one off against a tough Packers defense.
Winner: Green Bay Packers
The Commanders are coming off a crushing loss to the Bears, but a lot of their wounds were self-inflicted. Terry McLaurin might be returning for this game, which could spell trouble for an abysmal Cowboys defense.
Dallas once again played tremendous offense against the Panthers, but the defense was unable to stop Rico Dowdle. Jacory “Bill” Croskey-Merritt might have a field day on Sunday, along with Jayden Daniels and his top two receivers.
Winner: Washington Commanders
The Falcons might be in trouble in 2025. Bijan Robinson rushed for 170 yards and a touchdown en route to a 24-14 win over the Buffalo Bills. It’s hard to believe this is the same team that was shut out by the Panthers a few weeks ago.
The 49ers’ injury woes just won’t stop. Star linebacker Fred Warner suffered an ankle injury that could keep him out for the season. They’re hurting all over the field, and are now going against a hot Atlanta team. Don’t be surprised if the Falcons walk away with this.
Winner: Atlanta Falcons
The Lions are still the Lions, and a loss to the Chiefs on Sunday night won’t change that. They’re dealing with multiple defensive injuries, and Brian Branch is now suspended for one game. Unfortunately for them, they’re also facing one of the hottest offenses in the NFL.
The Buccaneers progressed to 5-1 as MVP chants rained down on Baker Mayfield. Without Bucky Irving, Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, or Emeka Egbuka, they managed to beat the 49ers. This could be a playoff rematch down the road.
Winner: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Texans are coming off a much-needed bye week after dominating the Titans and Baltimore Ravens. They’ve struggled offensively all season, and now have to go head to head with one of the best offenses in the NFL.
The 4-2 Seahawks are one of the most entertaining teams in football right now. Sam Darnold is on fire, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is having a career year. The defense is playing at a high level, and it’s hard to see them losing to a 2-win team.
Winner: Seattle Seahawks
The Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens are on a bye this week, something both teams desperately need right now. We’re almost halfway through the 2025 season, and I think it’s fair to say none of us understand anything anymore.
