Colorado sports are off to a hot start in 2025 in their respective sports. The Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Avalanche are off to incredible starts. Let’s go through what each of them has done so far!

Denver Broncos

The Broncos are off to the best start they have had in a decade. Right now, the team is atop the AFC West with an 8-2 record in the middle of a seven-game win streak. The last time Denver started 8-2 with a seven-game win streak, the Lombardi trophy was held tightly in Peyton Manning’s hand!

The Broncos, just like their 2015 counterparts, are getting it done defensively. They lead the league in sacks and are in the top five in pretty much every major statistical category. They are a force to be reckoned with for opposing offenses.

On the other side of the ball, everyone, at the moment, is not very pleased with Bo Nix. When you take a step back, though, it stems from the fanbase expecting a lot from this young man, and the expectations are high again. Honestly, it’s a good thing that this fanbase is angry with how the quarterback or offense is playing rather than being numb to it.

Broncos fans have seen a decade of poor quarterback play and have gotten used to being below average in that department. Now, we’re beginning to complain because the wins were not pretty enough. Not a horrible spot to be in.

Nix and Sean Payton have brought hope to this city that was missing for so long. This team has real championship aspirations this year and can absolutely get the one seed this year! It’s good to see the city bleed orange and blue again.

Denver Nuggets

Basketball season has just begun, and it’s easy to tell the Nuggets are legit. They are 8-2 and tied for second in the Western Conference and are in the middle of a five-game win streak. The offense might be the best in basketball.

Denver is averaging 124 points per game, which is good for second in the league behind the Miami Heat. The dynamic duo of Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic, to no one’s surprise, are dominating night after not. Jokic is averaging a triple-double while shooting nearly 67% from the floor.

Murray has been red hot to start the season and has a real shot of making his first All-Star Game! Aaron Gordon, Christian Braun, and new addition Cam Johnson are playing their roles nicely. The biggest difference this year, though, is that bench.

The Nuggets, in the offseason, acquired Jonas Valanciunas, Bruce Brown, and Tim Hardaway Jr., three high-quality players who have boosted the bench scoring. The scoring has jumped from 22nd to 11th. That is more than what they need to get back to the finals.

The team that stands in their way is the Oklahoma City Thunder. They are off to a blazing 11-1 start as they defend their title. Can Denver slay the dragon with the new squad?

Colorado Avalanche

I don’t watch hockey as closely, but if the hometown team is playing well, they deserve a mention. The Avalanche lead the Western Conference with an 11-1-5 record. They are also on a winning streak of their own with four.

The Avs lead the league in goals per game with four and allow the second least with 2.41. Those numbers look like the recipe for a championship team.

Once again, I don’t know much about hockey, but the numbers don’t lie. Being first in the conference and leading the league in the two most important categories is all I need.

Let’s see how far they go!

End Of My Denver Sports Rant

In addition to their dominance in each of their sports, they are unbeatable at home. The Broncos are 5-0, the Nuggets are 6-0, and the Avs are 5-0-2.

They’ve made it clear that no one leaves the Mile High City without a loss. I can’t remember the last time there was a year that the three Colorado teams had a legit chance at a championship.

How crazy would it be if all three won? Would there be a joint parade?

I need the Colorado Rockies to step it up a little bit.
